1969 ZL-1 Powered Camaro For Sale
This is the fifth ZL-1 powered Camaro I’ve built in the past 2-1/2 years. Like the others, I built this car to drive, with the options that I would have ordered and as close to an original ZL-1 as would matter from a visual, driving or performance stand point.
#1 Frame off rotisserie restoration. Mostly originally body panels. Body was media blasted and painted in show quality PPG base coat / clear coat. Undercarriage is like new. Virtually everything on this car is new or restored to like new condition. Engine, transmission and rear end are fully warranted for 6 months COPO 9560 Options ZL-1: All Aluminum GM 427cid 535 hp (stock trim) M22: HD Muncie 4 Speed “Rock Crusher” G84: 4:10 Positraction Rear Axle A01: Soft-Ray Tented Glass J52: Power Front Disc Brakes U63: AM Pushbutton Radio PL4: F70x14 White Letter Tires NC8: Chambered Duel Exhaust System Interior: 711 Standard Black Vinyl Exterior: 72 Hugger Orange Block 3846053 Intake 3933198 (Winters Casting) GM Aluminum Heads 3946074 (Winters Casting) Holley Carburetor 4296 Delco Starter 1108351 140 MPH Speedo Over Size Sway Bar Correct ZL-1 .620 lift mechanical cam Correct 7115 Crank Correct Bent Neck Radiator Correct 403 Bell housing and ZL-1 clutch configuration Date Code M22 Muncie 4 speed Original 1969 Hurst Shifter Inquires regarding this car can be made to Rick Bawcom at 713-705-2491 88,000.00 - May Consider Interesting Trade http://katyclassiccars.com/zl15/dscf3837.jpg http://katyclassiccars.com/zl15/dscf3816.jpg http://katyclassiccars.com/zl15/dscf3815.jpg http://katyclassiccars.com/zl15/dscf3673.jpg |

Re: 1969 ZL-1 Powered Camaro For Sale
Nice car. Actually a lot of car for the money. The last iron block Camaro SS396 we did from scratch like that was about a $70K resto between the out of pocket cash and the manhours it took to make it that way. And 5 in the last 2.5 years? I would say you have your stuff totally together.

Thanks for the positive comments...checks in the mail.
It's amazing what you can get done working alone, 6 days a week with the cell phone turned off. There are some additional pictures Here as well as a video of the 427 on the Dyno. |
Re: 1969 ZL-1 Powered Camaro For Sale
I bought Rick's last one! It is a BEAST! Absolutely flawless, mind blowing, and orgasmic! He did a superb job on the car. Each detail is right on the money. 520 horse power and the sound makes heads snap! He copied the number 64 car for me except for the paint. You couldn't tell it from the real thing.
Rick Bawcom you can trust! Too Short |

Re: 1969 ZL-1 Powered Camaro For Sale
Paul, you are very kind to make those comments. Nothing makes me happier than knowing your satisfied......except for maybe when I deposited your check but that comment is a strong second.
However, you suffer from the same disease I do.. alumiholism. I am an alumiholic. There, I said it. It's a heavy cross to bare but... ...God I love the smell of aluminum in the morning. Also, I think Paul may be the first one of my customers to slap some sticky tires on one of these cars and see if he can get the front tires in the air. I can tell from the last email you sent me, that's where you're headed. Now that you've posted, you've got to become a member. This is the best Muscle Car site on the web, period. |

Re: 1969 ZL-1 Powered Camaro For Sale
Don't know what Belair's username is, but Too Short for me is perfect. Also, misseskudu, since I am a bowhunter, although I have NEVER missed a kudu. Oh, my, I have some birds roosting on my nose.
Do any of you guys know where I can get a TRD supercharger for my 2002 Toyota Tundra? I am desperate to find one. Too Short |
Re: 1969 ZL-1 Powered Camaro For Sale

If I didn't have two children to get through college, I'd be driving my Suburban to your house with a trailer!
Good luck with the sale. [image]http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/rpo-z15/5.jpg[/image] |
