'67 Fairlane XL 427 R code
Of the 72 R code XLs built this is the only Vintage Burgundy with Saddle interior. Sold new in Sacramento CA. 11K miles with much original paint and dry. Car was drag raced and has brackets welded on for a tow bar. Original sheet metal with no evidence of damage. Needs a total resto but has NOS part for resto. The parts with this car would be nearly impossible to find today. They were gathered over a 30 year span and alone would bring 10s of thousands. Bumpers, carbs and trans already done. Will sell or trade $105,000. 972-345-9604

Re: '67 Fairlane XL 427 R code
Hi Phil,
Sounds like a neat former-drag car. Would love to see some pictures. Have you located a block? Thanks |
Re: '67 Fairlane XL 427 R code
Thanks Sam,
I'll try to get some pics up the first of the week. The block is a correct virgin block, not a service type with the ribbed skirts. All engine parts, many NOS, including crank, rods, pistons, pan, heads, manifolds, dist, breather etc. |

Re: '67 Fairlane XL 427 R code
Great car and colors. Obvious race history with the old electric fuel pump, driveshaft loop, and trunk-mounted battery. Love the tow bar tabs and think they should stay on the car forever.

Re: '67 Fairlane XL 427 R code
Thanks guys and thank you Bruce for posting all those pics. The car should be an easy resto if there is such a thing. The paint and body work shouldn't be too bad and all the hard to find parts go with the car. The car is a one of one for what ever that's worth. I'm selling all my coupes or this car wouldn't be for sale. Trying to get to an all rag top collection. Will consider convertible trades. Thanks.
