triple black 67 L78 Chevelle SS
1 Attachment(s)
This car is listed in the Ontario auto trader. I know nothing about this car but thought someone here may be interested. A very rare car if its legit.

Re: triple black 67 L78 Chevelle SS
Wow, I would think a car like that if it's real and can be documented would be worth more than that asking price. The 67 L78 Chevelle was a pretty low number I thought(around 600 or so?).

Jeff, if I buy it I can keep my login name.

Whttps://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gifW...triple black too!.
The guy notes it's a Canadian car so I wonder if he's already obtained the docs from Canadian Vintage Services?. If he hasn't, it'd be worth obtaining the Vin and as quickly as possible call George Zapora w/ a Visa card and relay it to him for a verbal report to see if it really is a Canadian car and if an original L78!. Good luck! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif ~ Pete |

900 or so made. Very rare indeed. At that price, this is very likely an L-34 as mentioned by thunderbeach.

[/ QUOTE ] If that is indeed true, I guess its Ok to misrepresent a car as long as you price it a little under market value of what it would be worth if it was what it was being advertised at ?? "Numbers match 375HP, no clone",doesnt translate to a 350HP car in my mind. |

Re: triple black 67 L78 Chevelle SS
nice car, is that $51,000 canadian? whats the current conversion? Were they using quarter trim from 65's on the canadian models in 67? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
51000.00 Canadian Dollar = 48752.5093 US Dollar |
Re: triple black 67 L78 Chevelle SS
The listing is in a Canadian trader so probably CDN funds. Now 51k in CDN $ is just under 49k US $. It was only a few years ago $30,000 US would have gotten you 50,000 Cdn.

Re: triple black 67 L78 Chevelle SS
I cant believe the canadian dollar is so close to the us dollar. I thought only recently that 51K us was around 70K canadian or so ??.

Re: triple black 67 L78 Chevelle SS
I spoke with the owner...very nice fellow, but it's an L34 car. He wasn't sure if the block had been decked but he is checking and will get back to me. Sounds like a nice car, but I don't think a driver quality L34 would bring $47k US would it???

[/ QUOTE ] The gap has closed in recent years and some are predicting that the Canadian $ will surpass the US $ by the years end. It sure makes taking the kids to Florida a whole lot cheaper https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif |
