Radiator restoration

I have a Harrison radiator that needs to be recored and the tanks restored to show quality condition. Does anyone have a shop they would recommend. I live in southern Ca.
Thanks,

Re: Radiator restoration

Did you look in Hemmings for a shop near you? I would say a good local rad shop should be able to do that job. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Re: Radiator restoration

I just got my new Hemmings today and I don't see any radiator resto shops listed in it. I will try some local shops but I'm afraid they might be a production shop and lack the quality I'm looking for. The Harrison radiator is for a very special car that has had a frame off resto. The correct radiator was missing but has a new correct style one but without the Harrison name. Thanks for your help.

Davey.. if I knew you needed a shop to do the resto on it, I would have done it it all, painted and delivered for a nominal fee https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Seriously, be careful.. I have yet to see a shop do much more than recore correctly, painting to show standards is something, I trust to only myself...

I realize this is way out of your vicinity, but if you're looking for recomendations,I like A-Len down the street from me.
Lenny's real good at what he does and does the work himself.
He doesn't over weld, and pressure tests everything twice.
He paints the tanks correctly too,and is real gentle with the prefix tags.
He's been in business forever, and has a great cache of Harrisons & big ears lying around.
