NOS rosewood wheel

I had a customer send me this wheel and wanted it installed if it was NOS. I have had many old rosewood wheels with 35+years of ware but never a in the box new. Take a look and let me know what ya think. The box is dated 1975 and it has the NOS hub with it. Rosewood 1 Rosewood 2 Rosewood 3 Rosewood 4

It's AMAZING when a steering wheel ( option ) sells for
more than the whole car did. It only took 38 years too! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

Sure is Steve when you can still find good used and the repo is not that bad. Oh well. I can see it if they were extremely rare. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Re: NOS rosewood wheel

I have been into Camaro's for probably 30 years and in all those years I managed to acquire only 2 NOS Rosewoods. I sold one to Heartbeat City I think about a year ago and the second one maybe a month ago. It is going on a very deserving car. The boxes mine came in were each different. There were no hubs, just the wheel. They are darker than most Rosewoods. They seem to fade and turn more red with use. There was one on Ebay a awhile back that was not mine. Maybe your customer bought that one. Neat piece.

Re: NOS rosewood wheel

I agree, and with the wear and tear of hands on the wheel some of the grain or most would go away with time. Thanks for the ideas.

I did not pay that much for 4 of the Yenko Stingers I have owned. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif OK, we are talking 15 years ago, but still.......
