If it was anything like my '73 Vega, it rusted out in 2 or 3 years. Worst car ever in terms of rust resistence.

I was in the check out line at the grocery store a while back, and the cashier asked what I'd been working on lately, and I said I'd been piddling with a Vega...she told me she owned 2 of them when new...the first one, her and her husband owned almost exactly a year to the day before it literally rusted in 2 and the floor pan hit the ground! Surprisingly, they bought another one, bit it lasted quite a bit longer...!

How many Yenko Vega's are accounted for? I know they made at least as many (if not more) of them than Yenko Deuces, but FAR fewer have survived... most likely due to rust.

I just saw Donna Mae in July and other than 35 years passing by, she still looks the same. She was also wearing pink---what's new.

At least the Corvairs had a rust preventive coating, and did not start rusting until they left the dealer.

I think i have the only Yenko Vega Wagon, not 100%. I have a 76 Cosworth as well with only 55 miles on it. Both are not rusting , but, they are climate controlled.

You must be referring to the car as the only known existing Yenko Vega Wagoon as there was more than one built?.

Ricky and i had both the Smokey Yunick and Yenko Vega Wagon at Vettefest. The Smokey Yunick Vega is available. If i can make the haul i am going to try to have the Super Vega @ the reunion.

Thanks Bob! I just need to see if those 4 cylinders and the Yenko Head that came from Brian Henderson can burn the fuel of the offenhauser intake and 4 barrel. I may have to re-jet the carburetor. Right now you must have a light foot. The car is loud as you know what with the header and chambered exhaust, sounds like a bumble bee on steroids.

Further into the V8 H-cars, what's the story on Scuncio Vegas...are some known to exist and is there past info here that can be found using that magic search system I can never seem to get the hang of?.

Wow, I've never even seen good quality photos of the Yenko Vega's before. Those have to be rare - and they look good. I had to save the photos of the Yunick Yenko to my hard drive.

Not sure what the Cosworth Vegas get, but if anyone is from the Reading area, there is one still on the road. I used to go to a paint shop on the corner of 11th and Greenwich and every once and a while there would be a rusted original Cosworth Vega parked across the street.

There was a black driver that sat by Boscov's on the NE side near the bypass. (It's been too long, I don't remember the street names....) It's been a few years, may be the same car.
