I have seen this car. A guy from the PY site used to own it. When I saw it, it had poverty caps, but it wasn't equipped that way originally.
I also thought it was a candidate for B-J, but I could be off on my memory. But it's a nice example of a '69 RAIV, other than the puffery involved with the auction - Pontiacs are not Hemis or BBCs. |

It's a great car. It's a fast car. But it ain't a Chevy or Mopar. The guy is shooting for the stars, and if not, it's going to B-J - that's my estimation.

I think the pontiacs are a very strong market today, watch the super duty trans am prices. CRAZY i think all of the round port cars are going to bring some good money, but i think this car is missing the stripes to bring the money he is looking for.

Long thread about this car on the PY site. I guessed it was going to sell for $115,000, but now that I see that it's going to be auctioned on Wednesday night, I'm dropping that to $95,000.

Without it's original drive train i would think this car, as nice as it is, will struggle to get much north of 100k.
I don;t get the exhaust discussion. Is there a statement somewhere that its different, because it looks like correct 4sp tips that came with that car. Also as an owner of a well sorted orignal hemi-car and a RAIV, i have NO problem mentioning them in the same leauge along with BB chevys. Pontiac's made less cars but has always been performance oriented and i think good Pontiacs will always be in demand for their excellent combo of performance and great styling. Just my $.02 JOHN |

i have to think that was a great buy on this car from what i saw on the ebay auction, i know the car wasnt worth the 275, but i would have never thought it would sell that cheap. ram air iv, 433 gears, 4 speed, and a god list of options. and a great coler combo --wish i was there---
