Thanks, Bruce. Only a couple of Z16s sell a year and many don't have their original engines. There are no cars on the market that I'm aware of that can be bought today. So tell me, if you were in the market for a real Z16, with docs, original engine and #1 restored AND you could have the #1 Engineering Prototype for about 20% more than a "regular" Z16, why wouldn't you????

1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS Z-16
Consignment # 6840


1965 Malibu SS 396 RPO Z16 with only 87563 original miles. This is the Chevelle that started it all. Total production of 201 cars in 1965. 68 cars are known to exist making the most desirable Chevelle SS ever produced. Color is Regal red with Black interior. Original number matching car. This is a documented and registered vehicle in the Z16 Registry (www.z16chevelle.com). Absolutely immaculate rust free body with out any panel replacements. Frame of restoration. The car has been stored in a garage in Southern California since 1992 and was sparingly used till recently obtained. Complete history with the vehicle.

Tim,,,I understand someone not liking a certain color but in the case of Z16s and other extemely rare, popular cars beggers cant be choosers. I also think Joes car showed very well, but I would as I detailed it!!!........Bill S

Bill, I didn't know that. It sure did look good, I've learned lots about the Z16 option from that car. It's really the only one I've had a chance to look at outside of a car show.

When you have the money my client has. You can buy WHAT ever he likes to DRIVE. Driving 100K to a million dollar cars is what he is known for. If he doesnt like looking down a pale yellow hood going down the road. So Be It !!!
He will buy something else !! O Well

If their was a Black or Red one for sale. He would have bought it and I would be handing someone here a finders fee.

Recently there was a red/red Z16 available. It doesn't have original drivetrain or docs though, unfortunately.
