Willie Nelson and the Farm Aid Music Festival

Mods: if this breaks the rules please delete it.

I have two tickets to the Farm Aid Music Festival in Camden, NJ for September 30. Last minute plans changed and I can no longer attend the concert. For those not familiar with the concert, Farm Aid is a collaborative concert including Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, Jerry Lee Lewis with Roy Head, Los Lonely Boys, Arlo Guthrie & Family, Gov't Mule, Steve Earle, Allison Moorer, Steel Pulse, Shelby Lynne, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jimmy Sturr & his Orchestra, Pauline Reese and Danielle Evin, set up benefits the nation's farms.

Its an all day music festival that starts around 1pm and ends at 11pm-12am. Typically Farm Aid is in a more traditional farming setting than NJ, needless to say, this is a great opportunity for the rock music junkie!

My tickets are in section 101 Row S which is center section, 19 rows from the stage. I bought them for $315 shipped and am asking for the same however, I will not shy away from fair offers.

Thanks guys.

That is a GIMME BUST for Law Enforcement! anytime you see Willie you will find a little POT VERY CLOSE BY! I know it is ILLEGAL to HAVE IN POSESSION and to CONSUME it but LAW ENFORCEMENT should be looking for the RAPIST,ROBBERS, The LOOTERS in LOUISIANA and maybe a few TERRORIST! But it is FOOLISH to bust WILLIE for POT! He will only stop smoking when he is BURIED! ROCK ON WILLIE NELSON https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...-I-Have-It.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

So Big Block..You know it's ILLEGAL to have and CONSUME and the Police should look the other way. Any other crimes they should look the other way for, maybe you can start a list. Willie uses drugs and does not pay his taxes. Sure he beleives in the American farmer and supports their cause. Thats great but maybe he can TRY to live by the rules even if just a little

Re: Willie Nelson and the Farm Aid Music Festival

I didn't say look away! I said look for people committing more serious offenses! Was Willie smoking in front of the Police! No! They just busted him because they knew it was a GIVE ME BUST!Do Officers ever stop people without probable cause! Is that ILLEGAL! Should the Officer be penalized! Are you going to tell us all that you have never committed a crime! Regardless of how small or large of a crime!Should you not have to suffer the penalities of the law!Everyone knows Willie breaks the law by smoking POT! But there sure are of a lot of HIGH SOCIETY PEOPLE that are associated with him!Presidents,Governors,Mayors and many more to speak of!Should they be associated with such a criminal! Seems like none of them have any trouble taking the money he brings in from the benefits! should thay take money from such a criminal!Does that not make those people look bad!As far as Willies taxes! I am sure the IRS got there share eventually from WILLIE! If they haven't received it then they probably have him on a payment plan! But as an OFFICER of the law if you can assure me that all the more serious crimes as I stated in my other post are taken care of and there is nothing more for law wenforcement to do but to bust some old 70 year old hippie for some pot! then AMEN to you sir! I personally have never been a saint,I have not always been the best that I could have been,I did make some mistakes along the path of life! Now I look back on those mistakes and think of what could have happened to me!So do you think while Willie is Performing the show soon that he will be busted again for POT! I would bet he is not busted at the show!I would bet he will be smoking in his bus after the show! And the Law Enforcement there ! should they be penalized for not making a GIVE ME BUST! No the reason they will not be making the bust is because ! There will probably be HIGH SOCIETY PEOPLE and maybe even the MAYOR or GOVERNOR smoking with him after the show and all LAW ENFORCEMENT has been told to stay away I bet! GIVE ME A BREAK you SAINTS know exactly what I am talking about and you know it!By the way speaking of taxes! HAVE YOU EVER FUDGED ON YOURS! No hard feelings here just stating whats on my mind!LOL

Well this is going to get interesting.......

As I understand the recent arrest, they were all misdemeanor charges. The "Fuzz" found a total of just over a pound BUT all the people who were with Willie, at the time, also claimed it was theirs too so when the total amount was divided among the group it is all small amounts with no intent to distribute.

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif!!!!

Go get em Bobby!!

Re: Willie Nelson and the Farm Aid Music Festival

Pot smoker and all, Willie is without question a great guy and a true American/Canadian legend!!! .
It seems like he's known as an easy mark to bust for pot since he always has some...so a police officer that comes across him and wants to 'make a name for themself' by busting Willie can just search the bus and they're the Hero? .

I'm a non-smoker myself but pot is everywhere here in rural Ontario Canada where it's now known to be cheaper to smoke the wacky stuff than cigarettes...unless maybe you smoke the 'Indian sticks' that is (sub-standard smokes sold on Native reserves for less than half the price of regular store boughts). .
Average current prices in Canadian dollars;
'Store boughts'...$ 9.00 pk.
'Indian sticks'...$ 3.00 pk.
'Domestic Pot'....$ Free & up?

Re: Willie Nelson and the Farm Aid Music Festival

OK I'll respond...Sorry you got yourself all worked up over Wille. You sound like you have quite a few answers as far as law enforcement goes. Maybe you should become one or maybe volunteer as say an Aux officer. For starters I would like to see your " Serious Offense list " that Officers should abide by. Police Enforce the gambit from minor to major offenses. As you stated " Everybody knows" well i guess that would include Law Enforcement so if the police Know about something I hope they act. Of course they should check with you to see if it qualifies under your version of how serious it is right?? Now as far as your reasoning that we all have made mistakes you are correct sir we have. I have paid some consequences for them also. I guess Willie gets the free ride when you are the Police Chief. I get the sense you really do not like Authoritative type people . Cops, The government. I could be wrong and if I an i apologize. If Willie is stupid enough to be smokin the wacky weed after the show and in the company of your Governor and Mayor types let the chips fall where they must. Maybe you can change the law . Many have tried in regards to Pot. Good Luck there. Nobody is a Saint, but many have forgotten about personel responsibility. I admire the fact that Mr Nelson cares so much about the Farmers plight but do not admire him when another celeb does drugs for all to see or hear about. I guess the message for our younger folks is ....ah C'mon it's ok for certain stuff " especially when your a 70 year old hippie as you say. I'm not picking on you Big Block just don't agree with your way of thinking. I guess thats what makes this country so great...

I like Mayor Guiliani's approach - arrest them for jay walking, and they'll think twice before committing the next level of crime. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Re: Willie Nelson and the Farm Aid Music Festival

Why is ok for someone to drink alcohol but not to smoke pot?
I don't want to hear because it is illegal... just because there is a law against something... does not make the law just or constitutional.
I can provide many laws that have, since their enactment been declared unconstitutional. I beleive that all laws infringing upon the personal liberties of the people will be overthrown at some point in the future if not by judges it will be by jury nullification of said laws.
It is the right of the jury to determine not only the guilt or innocence of the person on trial but to also determine whether or not the law is just. This was stated by the founders of the country as the ultimate judge as to whether the lawmakers had overstepped their authority... the juries could decide that even if there was a law... they could find the person on trial "NOT GUILTY" and never have to give an explanation to the judge or anyone else...

Re: Willie Nelson and the Farm Aid Music Festival

BlueL78 I am a little familiar with Law Enforcement! I have numerous friends that are Policemen,Texas Rangers, and a Secret Service Agent. If you are Implying that I have been in trouble with the Law the answer would be yes I have! I was arrested numerous times as a teenager for not paying traffic fines for racing, speeding, etc, arrested numerous times for disturbing the peace(fighting)Never arrested for any drugs,or any Felony Offenses!I guess you could say I was really a pretty good kid except for I liked racing and didn't take no crap off anyone and would rather fight than dance back then.Actually myself and a few others were on First name basis with the Jailer in the City of Houston many years ago!We actually had priveleges due to being repeat frequent customers! Actually I think some Officers we knew just put us in Jail on weekends to keep us out of trouble!LOL You are correct that we do not agree on Willie Nelson today and probably not tomorrow! I don't have problems with people with AUTHORITY!Just ask my Wife She has more authority than I do and we don't have problems! I think you know where I stand and I know where you stand on Old Willie, and believe it or not I respect your opinions.I may not totally agree with you but I do respect them.We can post for days and days but to me I think people on this site would rather read information about other things than our opinions on Willie and a litle Pot.You actually have a tough and dangerous job as a Police Officer and I commend you on being what you are an Officer of the Law.I do honestly respect Laws and Law Enforcement,I just don't totally agree with them all! And one being Laws on POT!I am a registered voter, and vote at every election, sometimes the Wife tells me which way to vote because She is the Authority and not me!LOL But I do vote and I do write to Represenatives,Congressmen and Congressladies concerning my views,I do start some and sign some petitions going around. So as you can tell I am active in trying to make changes when I believe they need to be made.Good luck to you in your Job as a Police Officer and stay safe and for Gods sake keep doing what you do because we Americans definately need people like you out there. We may not agree with each others views and we may have different opinions about different things but we are Both Americans, standing up for what we believe and that is part of what makes AMERICA the GREAT COUNTRY SHE IS! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif

I think Willie should retire and grow his own pot on his own farm and get subsidized by the government for not growing corn or something.

I'd say another two generations need to die off and then it will be legal and we can worry about real crime.

Probably about right...
Even the cops I know wish it would be legalized so they could get back to catching real criminals...
