Bud, get a '62-'65 Chevy II post coupe, install the straight axle and move the rear wheels forward! Drop in an oval-port Rat, Th-400, and a 4:56 rear and do wheelies all day long. Your boys would love that!

probably not going to happen deal...how about a '66 Chevelle 2dr post car https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif |
Re: WTB, old gasser straight axel car, 60's to 70'ish
Any 2-door post car is solid makings for a killer straight-axle car. I'd jump on that '66 if it's not too bad rust and missing parts-wise! Think: Rat motor with 427 cross flags on the fenders, five spokes or Cragars, paint it black.

I cant cut the '66, it needs the full meal deal, maybe this winter. sb 4spd, dog dish's... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

Bud: a Pure Stock buddy of mine is putting together a '51 Ford truck ala Gasser style...Dodge bed, trailer fenders, straight axle up front, 5" body set back, pie cutter slicks...not a chevy, but this guy is pretty up on his old school pieces...
