Yes,I've been collecting for years but only since we've moved into our home a year ago that I could finally display them. Great collection John....nice to know there's more 'sick minded' lads out there? . I'm long out of room too w/ hundreds of toys....mostly old pressed steel trucks and 30's/40's stuff w/ the 'streamlined look'. .

Here's just a few of my old car kits. Man, they take up a LOT of room! Lately I've been using eBay to convert many of them to cash for a rebuild of my Camaro's 396. I have some diecast stuff too but it all sits hidden in boxes out in the garage and attic! I'd love to have a display room like John's.

[/ QUOTE ] Bud, I've bought a few old used '60s Tonkas on eBay for my son to play with (new stuff is so lame) and some of those old Tonkas in original packaging can get some impressive $$$ on eBay. As with most hard-core collectibles, Tonkas in nice shape seem to command the bucks and even the box might suprise you bid-wise if you listed it. You never know, some Tonka collector might want that empty box for his mint dump truck to go in. |

I'll send you a picture of it, still in the box (as is the case with nearly ALL of them). Don't recall where I got it. I was buying these things at fever pitch a few years ago, from all over the country. I would run into the UPS driver and he would ask if I had been ill. "I haven't delivered anything for a couple of days! Started to worry about you."
