Driveshaft stripe colors??

Does anybody know the correct colored stripes on the driveshaft of a 69 Chevelle SS 396(350HP), M20, 3.55 rear?

Thanks
John

Thanks for the info. One more question. Are there only two stripes or three? I see people having three on the Chevelles.

I'm not up on the Norwood F-bodies,but a Buildsheet would be most helpful in this situation and if I remember correctly, that plant was stingy.
Perhaps someone else here can answer your question..maybe paceme?

1 Attachment(s)
I believe it was 1 orange stripe and 1 white stripe for the M20.

What I found on a 69 NOR 07A M20 Z28:

The third stripe was different than the first two in that it wasnt the shiny metal underneath, but there was definately a brushed orange stripe there.

Here's what I did. It's a Trans Am but the process is similar: https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat...e=0&fpart=9

Re: Driveshaft stripe colors??

If you have something available you could do them the way they were originally applied from the manufacturer. I have put them in a lathe with front and rear yokes removed and used a brush to apply them as the shaft was turning slowly.

Re: Driveshaft stripe colors??

The Orange stripe is first and closest to the transmission, not the White as I stated earlier.
