LT1 TCS Clips fs PICS Nova, Camaro, Monte,Chevelle

Those of you who are familiar with these and need one for your sbc, here you go. These are NOT original, but newly made. The crazy Ebay prices are rediculous for stuff like this...so these have been made to help those who need them, without breaking the bank. $32.00/shipped. 1/person ONLY. If need/want one of these, email me for info. [email protected]

Thanks for looking, here are some pics...This is an original along with the NEW one, for comparison. I only have a LIMITED supply that have been made.

Buddy, Is it true your clips are showing up on Ebay for big bucks? Thats what happens when your repo's are so close to the originals. No one will be able to tell them apart, Great job!!

Very sure that EBAY ad (with my picture of Jack Seymour's (old/sold) Citrus Car with Real/Original Clip) is not Buddy's given the Chicago location of seller. This very rare part was unheard of a couple of years ago, until Carlisle LEGENDS judging on Jacks in 2004.
I paid $150 for used Original, after seeing a couple on EBAY sell for upwards of $300. Now several GOOD repops are available, including the above one from Buddy.
Dont know how the judges at Carlisle, will/can recognize and acknowledge (points) the real ones.....but glad the repops are available for those wanting complete restos.....

Thank you Chuck, you are correct. That is NOT my auction.

BTW, what a nice endorsement. Thanks!!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gifBut remember...these ARE real one's...just not made by the General.

Hopefully there is NO difference. That's the point. The pics above are a comparison of a USED ORIGINAL, and the NEW one's.

Re: LT1 TCS Clips fs PICS Nova, Camaro, Monte,Chevelle

Buddy..I didn't think it was your auction. I was wondering if someone bought one of yours and was trying to sell it. Jack showed me one of yours . Very nice. No way I could tell it from an original.

CamarosRus 02-20-2006 12:15 AM

Re: LT1 TCS Clips fs PICS Nova, Camaro, Monte,Chevelle

Dont believe there is/was any logo or part # on original (no room/too small) so will be next too impossible to distinguish ORIGINAL from new repop......but time will tell on this subject!!!!!
Certain other spring steel clips and brkts like fuel line supports and PCV Aircleaner clips etc etc have part #'s stamped and logos which have NOT been reproduced on the clone parts......

That appear's to be what's happening. I'm keeping track of everyone that has purchased one(quite a few so far), but I'm NOT going to accuse anybody. It's bound to happen. Ebay is a free marketplace to sell your "stuff". It was purchased by somebody, and now it's their's to sell.

Buyer beware..

His auction does NOT state that's it's ORIGINAL, but rather that it was "Originally used on"..blah blah blah. It's up to the buyer to READ the wording in the auction.

I emailed the guy and asked if they are original eguipment. Here is his response.
James

I wasnt aware that there were any reproduction clips out there. If you know where to buy them reproduction, I would go that route. It will save you a few hundred $$$

Anyone notice his original description said something about getting from his Dad, old dealership or something, etc.....

Now all that's gone....hmmmm

I'd like to introduce myself here on Yenko.net. I'm the clip maker.I work in a metal shop and made these just to see if it could be done.I had some help from a co-worker and Buddy. I hope you all like these tcs clips we're pretty happy with them.

Dan, NICE work, glad too see quality and craftmanship still exists in mfg AMERICA........Wish somebody worked in the business of EMBOSSED appliques.....such as the BowTie Center Cap sticker so many of us need for faded/washed out 70-74 Z-28's

Maybe you can mark your clip with a logo than can't be seen once installed. That would slow down people reselling yours as orig.

Application question.......
I have a 70 L-48 Nova, was this clip only used on the LT-1 cars??? I looked at a wiring diagram but it didn't show any clips. I think on my car, the wires ran from the firewall solenoid to the intake solenoid without clips. I have seen these clips on ebay.......expensive!!!!!!

Thank you-

I don't have an exact answer to your question, but I do know of a local guy who scrounges the junkyards and has dug up a few of these for selling on ebay. And I know he's not getting them from LT1 cars https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Thank you. I saved this photo from a TCS Clip auction........

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...wnkid/tcs3.jpg

It looks like it "routes" the TCS wires to a right-side head temp sender. My car does not have one in the right side head, but does have one in the left side head. Maybe if you had a gauge package, it was different. I dunno...

I think BB Chevelles in 70 had right side TCS stuff.....

Thank you all...saved me some dough!!!!!!!

Re: LT1 TCS Clips fs PICS Nova, Camaro, Monte,Chevelle

The deuces have the Z28 LT1 installed, and do not have that clip due to the differences in the temp sending location.

If Yenko installed gauges in a deuce, he put the temp sender in the right side head - but left the factory temp sender and wiring intact.

After a little investigation...without mentioning any names....we shipped this clip from here in Va...it was shipped to FL...and is now offered on Ebay by the Chicago connection to FL.

I just checked a 70 L48 350 I have in the garage that was pulled from a 70 Monte Carlo, and the clip is there, so I suspect Scott is right. And this would only be for auto trans cars, correct?

Re: LT1 TCS Clips fs PICS Nova, Camaro, Monte,Chevelle

I'm not sure about other makes, but I believe that Nova's did not get that clip bec/ the wire harness puts the sending unit on the other side of the engine.

Anything is possible on the old beaters, I was referring to the original owner, untouched, survivor Novas - they don't seem to have the clip as there doesn't seem to be a reson for it.

Not original owner, but this was an untouched Yenko Nova, LT1, dated plug wires, tower clamps, etc.....and I think 4spd car. Faded Yenko paint job and original (trashed) interior, but rusted to the gill's. Looked like a critter had been living in it for a while. Can't remember the seller's story about where he got it, but I think it was one of those "found it in a field behind the barn" thing's. Take it for what's it's worth, 'cause I'm NO expert on the Nova's.... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
