Deatiled shots: '69 Z28
Thought you guys would get a kick out of these pictures. A couple members have seen these before, just never had a moment to sit a make a thread. This is what I call a nice unmolested Z28 Camaro.

Thats what I'm talkin about. My kind of car right there. Nice Dan, nice.

Re: Deatiled shots: '69 Z28
I'm no expert on 69's, but is that the correct master cylinder? Alternator looks pretty fresh too.

Re: Deatiled shots: '69 Z28
HI WHAT MONTH IS THIS CAR SMOG PIPES DON,T LOOK CORRECT
|
Re: Deatiled shots: '69 Z28
I would say air cleaner lid, smog tubes and master cylinder but those are all just bolt on parts that can be corrected easily.
|
Re: Deatiled shots: '69 Z28
Car is a September '69 Build date... Everyone I have talked to has told me those a.i.r. tubes are correct for a late car. According to Jerry M's book they are different from the early car too. I have spoken to Jerry about them and he thinks original (if my memory serves correct). ATL has been rebuilt and restored, part number is correct though. This is not the first time I have heard the master is wrong. Matter of fact we have a slight brake problem with the car. Can anyone provide a picture of a correct unit? What is the part #? I would like to check while the car is still in storage.

Very cool https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
One question, if I may... Has someone changed the carb? It has what appears to be a `71-`72 style throttle shaft and baseplate on it. Eric |

Eric [/ QUOTE ] The carb has had a simple rebuild but I did not *think* anyone changed anything. How on earth did you guys see the master... those pictures suck https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif |

Darren;
Yes, as a matter of fact, it does. That's on the car you just finished detailing a while back, isn't it? Thanks. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif Eric |

Re: Deatiled shots: '69 Z28
Darren,
Would you like some NOS GM intake manifold gaskets? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif Love that car however! Rick |

Re: Deatiled shots: '69 Z28
Yes this is the Z28. Different it is green on medium green. Been collecting parts for a long while. Thinking about having the car repainted as the exsisting paint is really bad. Just put a chambered exhaust system on the car. Have an NOS air cleaner cover, spiral dated shocks, a whole bunch of interior parts (Thanks CLill!) and some other minor additions the car needs. If, the car gets restored I am not sure I want to paint up the bottom of the car... No one drives frame off cars... NO ONE. The engine compartment is a little different now. SOMG pummp has been restored, ALT, and intake have been restored. Lets just say this needs a good cleaning.
I'm thinking headers and a 140 cam? Box that SMOG junk right? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif |

Absolutely Joe, statement is debatable, sure. I'm not going to argue that.
This thread was not made for debate... as you can see from the first 15+ posts... |
