Re: was it a trans am?

The car thats in the movie is a 1973 trans am--firebird conversion with a 400 ci motor and mufflers removed,it's NOT A 1974.
The front of the 1974's were slanted backwards and did not have ovalscoops that come to a point in the nose like the 1973's.The car couldnt have been a 1974 because the movie came out in 1974 and they had to have traveled forward in time to get a 1974 T/A to make the movie in late 1972 to mid 1973.
It is a Great Movie for all car lovers....Pilgrim! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

It was a Brewster green 1973 Trans Am. Not an SD-455 but a regular 455 4bbl. I halfway recall the movie: dont they wreck the car or crush it somewhere in the flick?

Re: was it a trans am?

I also thought it was a Bruster green '73 TA with all the TA stickers taken off the car. It had the standard wheels.
Drove a '73 SD TA about 20 miles yesterday on a good Texas winding highway. I have new respect for those cars.
Do you think that the TA from the movie was "restored" with its slight front and rear end damage?
