Re: n.j deuce info???
When I was looking for my car I handed out 500 +/- business cards at car shows and swap meets in New Jersey indicating I was looking for a Yenko Nova. I never received one phone call and I find it hard to believe not one of those cards made its way to someone that knows about a Deuce in NJ. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
If someone knows where one is located they are not talking about! |
Re: n.j deuce info???
I own the car in question, iam trying to piece together its first few years as i have most owner history. The car was in nj between 70-77 then came back to pa and was sold to a BUD AYERS anyone know him... he owned some kind service station and was a racer https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: n.j deuce info???
There are several Bud Ayers/Pennsylvania listed in AOL white pages but it seems you have to pay for info now.None were older than 41..maybe a kid of his..try searches fir his name and see what you come with

Re: n.j deuce info???
I have kinda tried that route already and came up with the same results,i don,t know if thats the correct spelling or not https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif (now iam not joking) the info came from the 3rd owner who,s name is michael jackson https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif. I am sure someone would remember this car around the n.j area as unique as they were, being that the car only has 27k orig miles it wasen,t used much but when it was they beat the hell out of it .

Re: n.j deuce info???
It's from Ammon R. Smith Motor Co. in York, PA. The FG Deuce from Wallace is found.

Re: n.j deuce info???
Marlin, is the FG Deuce still with its original owner?

Re: n.j deuce info???
No, it's not in NJ even, the wallace cars seemed to 'spread out'.

Re: n.j deuce info???
Marlin, What color Deuces were sold at Wallace. How many were 4-speeds or Th400??? My freind Doug remembers several, especially the FG Deuce. How many survived?

Re: n.j deuce info???
I didn't see the FG car on the list but otherwise see 1 4spd silver (mikes car), 1 4spd fathom blue, 1 4spd crandberry red, and 1 auto c. red. Marlin, I thought all the known cars were on the list.. ??

Marlin, I thought all the known cars were on the list.. ?? [/ QUOTE ] The FG car I was referring to is quite hidden, and I have not personally seen the car. I believe it's a Wallace sold car, as the current owner recalls the word 'WALLACE' on the POP. However, he does not recall where on the POP! So, I can't really claim 100% that it's a Wallace car yet, because it could also be a person's last name. I feel comfortable calling this car a Wallace car bec/ I've talked to guys from the area that recall an FG a/t car, but not quite comfortable enough to add it to the list as such. Unfortunately, we don't have the inventory sheet #6 where this car would be listed https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif This car is a FG, a/t, without p/s (one of 4 configured this way), was originally sold in May/June of '71 (not surprising to you wallace deuce owners with original sales paperwork), it is a restored car, has the power stick shifter, and has racked up approx. 75k miles over the years. How it got out west is beyond me, but not surprising as the red 4sp deuce was 'found' in South Dakota, the red a/t deuce was found in the deep South - almost in Florida, this green one is in the midwest, but MikeA's silver one was with the original owner, in Linden NJ, when I found it 6-7 years ago https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/shocked.gif |
