Darryl Gwynn is a classy guy! When my daughter was "touch and go" a week or so before her heart transplant...Darryl happend to be at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in Orange California. He was there for the Make A Wish Foundation...as a 6 or 7 year old boy's dying wish was to meet up with Darryl. After Darryl spent a few hours with him...he went into every room on the intensive care floor...and visited with all of the kids. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

Wish i was closer! When my son Michael was fighting his leukemia, we put the SuperComp racing on hold. Thru the NHRA, they helped with our fundraising by making a few announcements in National Dragster. One day after a long week of chemo, who calls my son but Darrell!? They talked for about 15 minutes and it really boosted his already positive attitude. A week or so later, Carroll Shelby calls and does the same thing! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Carroll even sent 2 photos. Here's him with the GT350. Now tell me "CAR GUYZ" like you'all aren't the best?!

<font color="blue">Drag racers are a cool bunch, this show brings out a lot of them.
We moved it from Nov.- Jan. to get in the off season.
Last year we had 125 cars, 90 of them drag cars.
We also do a 2pm startup in memory of some local fallen racers.
This year we are going for at least 200 cars.
I have a whole bunch of manufactures involved for sale &amp; auction items to raise more money for this cause. </font>

If all the people that said they were coming this weekend show up,
we may have a space situation.

I went over to Sheehan Pontiac today to figure out parking
&amp; found an easy drive thru for the trailers where they wont have to back up to load or unload.

We noticed a GMC Flat Deck Truck there, It looks like a great place for the band.
With them up high the DJ can go right in front of the truck.

Gonna put the registration right in front of the dealership door
&amp; Pam can sign autographs there.

Tom (the owner) is going to put a Solstice &amp; a new GTO
on the floor with a Firebird &amp; an early GTO.
