30,000 Mile Original Paint LS6
Interesting story here......One of the guy's that lives in the area has 3 triple black cars....they only come out of the garage twice a year......70 LS6 Chevelle, 69 Z-28, and a 67 400 H.P. Vette......I've been telling Rick (mr70) about this car and finally got to take some pic's of the owner and the cars......the Chevelle has only minor cosmetic flaws with engine compartment detailing as best as I can tell......I'll be posting pic's for those that are interested.........never know what's behind the next garage door......

Nice looking Chevelle. But I would think that Triple Black, would mean Black Vinyl top,Black Paint and Black Interior. My 70 Chevelle SS is Triple Black as Described. My 70 El-Camino LS-6 is Black on Black,White Stripes because of the Cowl Induction. The guy I bought my Original Engine from for the El-Camino, his Brother has a 33,000 Original Mile, Original Paint 70 LS-6 Chevelle, Black on Black no Stripes.

The Z looks like it has had a complete amateur resto so the 30K miles probably goes out the window.

Those are great cars but is that a repop interior in the chevelle?? looks that way. I would think it would be original with a survivor car.JMO Anyway great shots and cars!

The Corvette is a 1966 427 cubic inch/390 horse power car. All 1966 BBC Vettes had single Holleys. In 1967 the tri-power was offered in 400 and 435 horse power increments. Those motors came with 3 x 2 carbs. The difference between the motors were the lifters. Solid lifters in the 435 and hydraulic on the 400.
Really neat cars! That Chevelle is stunning! What does he want for the Z28? Paper work? Original Motor? Trans? Rear? Let me know! |

Yes the '69 has had a restoration (as has the Chevelle's interior...yes,your right about those pleats and lack of fading is a dead giveaway)but as was mentioned,I would CERTAINLY make room for it in my garage! GOD,HOW AWESOME DOES A '69 Z/28 LOOK IN BLACK? Too bad he decided to put the wrong master cylinder in it...I see that often and it's so obvious https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif.
