...there is no Vin number on the front pad ...and no "CE" number either.....but it it is stamped "T069" on the bottom passenger side of the block....here are some photos

Hi John,
I have one of these blocks also. Mine was cast on 4-1-69 and has the number "498" stamped on the main caps and on the bellhousing flange just behind where the distributor sits. Can you tell me what number is stamped on your block? I'm trying to compile some data on these casting dates/stamped numbers. Thanks.

...I took the block to the machine shop to have it "pressure tested"....and will know the results next week
...
...BUT they did tell me that
...... "It is a standard bore block"
...but will need boring to clean up

Mine is dated 4.6.69. They all must have been cast in a short period of time. This makes since to me since the cars were such limited production.

Can you tell me how much you want for it and is their any front pad information on the block? Can I get a phone number to call you on it? Is their anything you are looking for on a possible partial trade?
