Hot Rod Power Tour Pre-Party
 

For those that are interested , I am having a pre-Power Tour party at my shop, which is approximately 3 miles from the host hotel and appoximately 8 miles from Miller Park.

Still working out the details , but it will be Friday afternoon, June 3rd. What I do know at this point is that Mike Guarise is honorary concours judge, Charley is in charge of all velcro shoes and turbo charged cars, and Gags is the parking attendant. We are having a BBQ buffet and live entertainment. Exactly what kind of entertainment will be a surprise - but I guarantee that Gags will have all of his clothes on.

I will need an accurate list of who is attending , so please reply to this thread and let me know you are coming.

For those of you shipping cars in for the tour, you are welcome to store them here until you arrive. Also, for those of you driving in that may need to make last minute repairs or need to clean your ride, I do have a full shop and facilities to help.

ahhhhh, yeah, ummmm, no "borrowing" but I am sure there is a distinct possibility of rides and there always seems to be a burnout contest at some point also. Not endorsed in any way by me.

Don't let Charley see your shoes, he'll cut you out of them.

Yep- have a good hotel not far from here, much nicer than the Ghettt-oh! hotel Charley is staying in. Plenty of room for cars to stay in my shop overnight and I can run a shuttle for all you drunk bastards to get you safely to the hotel.

Mitchell International is the major airport in Milw., and the closest - about 8 miles south. Very simple to get from there to my place. Call or email if you need any help or directions. As we get closer to the PT and the pre-party, some details:

-THE PARTY IS RSVP ONLY!-

-(just in case) THE PARTY IS RSVP ONLY!-

-Meaning: To make sure I don't feed half of Milwaukee, we are only letting people and cars in that we know are coming!-

If you are not on "the list", you will not get in THE GATE. I will not be there, instead, there will be a really big and really mean dude who just doesn't care. He can read (barely) and he will have a list of people that CAN get in.

This is not like a night club in NYC or LA, you do not have to show the bouncer something or do other "favors". It is much easier than that - YOU ONLY HAVE TO SEND ME AN EMAIL TO GET LISTED. Oh yeah, if you are reading this you are invited !

The Pre-Party will start at 5:00 PM, Friday June 3rd.

It will end whenever Belair is sick of the abuse and leaves.

I'm joining the Power Tour in Springfield, IL and planning on continuing onto Indy and Nashville.....Toying with the idea of staying in Nashville for (country music) Fan-Fest and Chevelle-abration.......
Anybody interested in sharing one of my motels rooms....and or having there room to share please communicate.
In particular I dont have a room yet for June 5th in Springfield.........

Thanks to Andrew & Tommy White of Aloha Automotive for putting the hurry up on getting my 69 Chevelle convertible ready in time for the HRPT long-haul tour. Several folks, including me, had doubts about it possibly being done before June 1st when it arrived at Aloha 5 weeks ago in boxes.

Anyone participating in the Power Tour should really checkout Chevell-Abration being held in Moss-Wright Park in Goodlettsville Tn.,a suburb outside of Nashville,June 9-11.
It really is a Good Family atmosphere show with Cooking & Cars to match.

I'll be there tomorrow night.....If you haven't seen power tour lately...last year there were over 2000 cars that made the whole trip. At each daily stop there are probably at least 1000 more cars that show up...pretty diverse group of cars...

they plan on a different route each year with the next years starting where they left off the year before. Next year will probably start in Florida...Someday it will get back out west but really I like seeing parts of the country that I have never seen before.

I hear ya! There's not much of the United States that I haven't already seen...I think that the movie Vacation was patterned after my dad...hell, he drove for 2 hours out of his way...so that we could go and see the "Corn Palace" in Mitchell, South Dakota.
