Gas prices

Guys, I just heard that there's a pretty good chance that gas prices will be going up 23 cents per gallon today, for regular unleaded. Time to fill up those cars with gas.

Oil prices have just fallen and OPEC said that they will increase production by 500,000 barrels per day and authorize doubling that in the 2nd quarter to an additional 1,000,000 barrels per day.

Something has to be done. Diesel is currently at $2.75/gallon here.

Re: Gas prices

I hear that, Mr T...the big push the last few years has been to spend the extra money and opt for the diesel engine in your truck, and thusly be rewarded with cheaper fuel cost and longevity...well, I can't speak for the longevity issue yet, but I'm feeling RAPED on this fuel price savings!

Any of you folks that work at dealerships having a hard time moving the diesel rigs now? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

you got that right...it is catching up with us across the board..I think about 80% of our goods cross the country by truck and they are passing on the costs with all the things we buy...my last shipment of product almost doubled in cost on shipping..not to mention how much stuff we consume that is made with petroleum products...pass me a beer I have a headache....

I had a friend that attended the nsca event at No Problem Race Track In Louisiana and there were some guys that brought there cars over from England to compete. They were talking and gas there is $9.00 per gallon and racing fuel is $30.00.Read the post on www.Dragstripaction.com They have a bunch of pictures posted as well and a few videos. The people that own and run the site are good friends of mine. There is even a picture of old reliable it was there competing also.I know gas and diesel is getting outrageous but I really feel for those folks in England if it is that expensive.Damned if I wouldn't get a horse and park the old hoopty for awhile! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif

I use Sunoco Supreme Leaded 112 in my COPO -- at $19/gallon for a 50 gal drum. Supreme Unleaded pump gas from Shell is about $6.50 per gallon and of course I drive an S55 AMG on a daily basis - doh!

The guys you met in Louisiana were spinning a bit of a tale, but only a bit... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif

The consumer is at the bottom of the totem pole to get the results of a trickle down effect of a proposed decrease in oil commodities....

Ok, here we go again, in WA state anyway. The price of gas jumped up 10 cents/gal here yesterday alone. Now regular unleaded is $2.50/gal. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif
Out of curiosity, what are the fuel prices you guys are fighting in your state?
Hope this ends soon!

No doubt Tom. What are you currently paying for regular unleaded?

Re: Gas prices

In my area the price of low octane regular is about $4.00 CDN per gallon, which would relate to about $3.20 U.S.

I hate to think what Sunoco 94 will cost for the Chevelle this summer https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

The gas prices in Norway is now 6,88 US$ pr gallon. The government is making so much money on the oil we pump out from the oil fields, theyre really not sure what to do with all the money they make.. (what about putting down the gas price)

Re: Gas prices

allow me to bring a possible solution to the table, remember about 3 years back diesel price's where through the roof and a bunch of trucker's marched on capitol hill and for about 2 years diesel prices stayed low-resonable,so what i am sayin is if maybe we all stood together there might be a change

I thought that I had it bad with $2.52 for 91/92, I guess I was wrong!

Being a college student doesn't help much either.
