thanks JD for helping out. We are starting to get things together, I will be sending out flyers within the next week or so, We would like to get as many pre-entries as we can, sure helps the day of. Just thought I would let you know that the Fred Gibb memorial cruise night is being held in MACOMB, IL the friday night before the car show,If you need to make a room reservation call the DAYS INN in Macomb, they are giving use special rates for the weekend.

What about Monmouth? We had a great time there last year, and were really looking forward to making the weekend trip again. Not that we can't make the change. Just curious.

I was the guy who organized the Monmouth, and I got very tired of fighting with the city and some of the store owners. I went looking for a larger place with lots of parking for show cars and for trailers and Macomb is the place. It is also closer to Laharpe the next day.You need to call the Days Inn in Macomb because rooms are filling up fast.Monmouth is still going to try to have a cruise night the same night, but ALL the Fred Gibb cars and all the other ZL-1's and Yenko's will be in Macomb. Please spread the word up in your area so people make there way to macomb. Hey we even have
Dave Palmer from 3-D sound doing our DJ service.All the fun has been moved to MACOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We reserved our rooms this morning at the Days Inn in Macomb for Friday evening (8/5) and Saturday evening (8/6). The gal there said they have a block of 30 rooms reserved and only 8 have been taken so far. Rooms have two double beds and are going for $85.00.

Last year there was a 'Cruise' in Macomb after the Gibb Show. I'm hearing that will be repeated this year. It's held uptown at Macomb unlike Steve's event on Friday Night which is on the WIU Campus North of town.

We made reservations for both Friday and Saturday night too. At this point the usual four couples are coming bringing at least four cars. Hopefully we can encourage more to come with us between now and then.

Just received my autographed copy of John Hoopers "The Conclusive Camaro Recognition Guide", 1967-1969, from Ken Brown. These books were for sale on the Gibb Memorial website, and I was fortunate enough to purchase the last one of only 17 that were donated by John Hooper.
Not only did John Hooper sign the book, but so did Helen Gibb and Herb Fox. Awesome!! Ken Brown also sent me some fliers for the upcoming '05 Gibb Memorial, along with some collectable items for the '03 and '04 event. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

On the serious side Kenny, I understand we now have 6 rooms reserved in Macomb. Hopefully we can get more of our Mid-Iowa Camaro Club members convinced to attend too after our club meeting on Sunday February 20th.
