70 Judge RA IV
Some one with the Ebay name of Super-Cars bought the above car needing a total restoration does any one know if that is Kevin?

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
What's the "above" car?"

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
I don't think Kevin S. would buy this car.

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
I wouldn't have thought so either!

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
The guy who bought it lives in Arizona. That car flew under the radar. the seller had a no reserve auction going on first. He then stopped it and put it back on witha buy it now! probably had it set with the guy who bought it. Dont think he knew what he had!

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
What did he really have though...sounds like it was so rusted the only way to restore it would be to rebody it https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
What a shame, brings a tear to my eye. That would have been one sweet car off the showroom.

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
Kind of in the same league as the Deuce for sale on E Bay...

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
I’m with you Steve. It actually hurts to look at the pictures.
It’s great to see the value going up on these cars. I’m for the day that someone has to offer me 3 nice LS6 Chevelles for my 68 GTO https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/laugh.gif, but in this case I’m not sure what this person actually bought?? By looking at the underhood picture, I’m wondering if that engine is even salvageable. At the least, the casting numbers have to be completely rusted away. Brian |
Re: 70 Judge RA IV
Look at the way the rear end sits, the frame must be powder.
The cool options and IV are what make me sad. The steering wheel and walnut knob, destroyed. It's a shame. |
Re: 70 Judge RA IV
This makes me sick looking at the pictures of that 70 Judge.I know that its a RAlV car but $20,000 thats alittle steep concidering the condition of the car.

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
Maybe I’m just being paranoid or it’s just my suspicious mind, but I can’t help
thinking that somewhere out there - a rust-free 70 Lemans and 2 star rivets are just waiting to be used. I keep envisioning an ad in an about a year: 70 RAIV 4sp GTO Judge Eye catching white with black interior!! Complete concourse restoration on a rust free body. 37,000 original miles. bought from original owner (have copy of original title), PHS documented. $200,000 Firm Hope I’m really wrong on this one. That car is just too rare to not at least try to bring it back and enjoy. Hope whoever bought it, takes the time and spends the money to do the car right. I think we should all lobby our Senators to amend the constitution. It could be the “Muscle Car Rights Bill”. “If Party of the first part (Human) allows Party of the second part (muscle car) to be neglected beyond reasonable recognition and/or restoration, Party of the first part should be subjected to federal prosecution” Brian |

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
So what is a matching numbers , original paint (a few chips/etc. ) 1970 Ram air iv GTO worth? Its a four speed car. A friend recently purchased one locally . We know he got a good deal , but what is it really worth? Any input appreciated.

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
The pictures of that car on eBay wer eprobably the worst I have ever seen as far as quality of photos go. But then again maybe they did not want you to really see what can of worms you would be opening up....

Re: 70 Judge RA IV
70 RAIV GTO - about $70K-100K based on the quality of the resto. 70 Judge RAIV can be double that today if the resto is top notch. Can't put a price on a 70 RAIV ragtop, but they've sold for more than the LS6 ragtops or Hemi Cudas recently.
