No motor pics! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
a black tailpan would look nice on the car also!

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
Also looks like it got the 4x4 option. Those must be some stiff springs if the front end is holding up a 427.

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
I would love to see the docs...that would make it a pretty cool ride...
|
Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
only know of one other that got that option

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
Mine wouldn't be that high in the front if I took the engine out of the car, and removed the hood, and fenders. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
Is there a motor in the car, wow the front end is high.

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
Where did the reverse lights go?...
|
Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
That's what I was wondering. He sent me some more pictures of the interior and under the hood. It has some of the RS stuff under the hood, but the wiper motor/pump is not there so it probably was not a real RS car to begin with.

Cowl tag picture?

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
Would have to see some documentation regarding the RS (Z22) option. I seriously doubt that it is a factory built RS, with all the missing parts, including the back up lights. I too would like to see a picture of the cowl tag to see if it even shows X-22. Who knows, this could be another 350 to 396 converted car, (no blacked out tail pan) We shall see.
Dang, that car does sit high, it must have at least 4-5"'s on all three of my 69's. |
Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
I have a picture of the cowl tag and it is an X22 and it has a big block heater core. I'll post them up when I get home. It could be the whole tail panel was replaced and that's why it wasn't repainted black and the back up lights weren't put back in. But you'd need to see the car in person to really determine how much RS stuff is there and what's missing to know for sure. I'm not an RS expert so I don't know all the little things to look for.

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
Wonder if the Rancho Suspension kit was installed by Brahms as well?
|
Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
Did you see any docs of the conversion ? You can fix the ride height...
|
Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
No, he didn't send me any pictures of the documentation. I can go look at this car if anyone is seriously interested. I have no idea what money he is looking to get for the car so I don't know what to expect. I asked about the fuel lines to see if it's an L78 car originally or not. I'm waiting to hear back from him.

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
hey Jeff its Ron,if you go to look at this car look in the trunk for the holes for the wireing harness to go to the backup lights.the holes should be next to the tailpan braces where the rear bumper bolts to the tailpan.if the holes are not there its not an rs car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
The seller ended the auction early. Maybe he had an offer he couldn't refuse.

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
The seller was supposed to be faxing me a copy of the paperwork, but I haven't seen it yet... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
From what I understand the paperwork consisted of a warranty book with the words Warranty Void written on it...and maybe 427 Installed..or something like that.

Re: 69 RS SS dlr installed 427 Brahms Chevrolet
I thought the name "Brahms" sounded familiar....thats the dealer my 71 SS454 Monte Carlo Zone car was shipped to.
Would be interested in info about the dealer if anyone has some or comes across some as a result of investigating this Camaro. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif thanks |
