Another Yenko Deuce has a new owner!!
 

There's a very quiet guy who reads this board but doesn't post, and is one of the most dedicated enthusiasts of the Yenko Deuces. I want to congratulate him on his latest acquisition, he certainly earned this one!

Our good friend Tommy K is the new owner of an original paint, original stripe, original drivetrain, original owner Yenko Deuce Nova, with POP, window sticker, Yenko inventory sheet, dealer prep paperwork, vintage timeslips, shifter manual, tach manual, owners manual, and service records. The car has just over 50k miles, and is a time capsule. Cranberry Red, automatic, without power steering, sold new at Wallace Chevrolet in Linden, NJ. This Wallace car is unique just like all the other cars sold out of Wallace, and spent many years terrorizing the streets of northern NJ back in the day.

The sport mirrors were stolen I believe, don't quote me, but I believe that's the story - not surprising since it's a Wallace Car.

The missing emblems are one of the uniqe Wallace id's, not the trim rings though - they were a day 2 item!

It wasn't that they weren't installed, they WERE installed, but quickly stolen... the Wallace decal hides where the eblem used to be.

how do you know Wallace didn't remove them to put his own decal on. I bet some of the Dealers didn't like having another dealers name on the cars they were selling.

Because he left the YENKO window stickers on, and the door panel decals. Wallace also advertised the deuces quite regularly, and was not against having the YENKO insignias all over the cars.

Linden is not the best part of NJ, and things got stolen off of the cars. Rather than install another NOVA by Chev. emblem, or another YENKO emblem, Wallace simply placed their decal over the holes. If there was an emblem there originally, they would have placed their decal on the other side of the decklid or on the tailight panel.

Looks like it's got door edge guards too, probably also a day 2 add on. Are the LT/1 hood stripes and "Deuce" decal present? Hard to tell in the pic. Sweet car for sure, can't wait to see more of it.

I've also heard most if not all Wallace Deuces had hood locks installed at the dealership as well, for similar reasons mentioned above.

Brandon is correct, every Wallace car found has had hood locks, similar to the Hult cars of '69. Theft was a real problem with the Wallace cars, but it appears to be limited to parts - not the whole car. To my knowledge there were no Deuces stolen from Wallace.

This car is the current benchmark car for a/t deuces.
