"Shake Rattle and Run"
 

Anybody that grew up in the Chicago area in the 60's know what happened to the 57 Chev "Shake Rattle and Run"????......last time I saw it was probably 10-15 years ago at the Grove......left the line so hard that it popped the chrome strips off the quarters.....

I think it's on the show circuit around the Chicago area now. Been a while since I've seen it.

I was just thinking about that car this weekend at Super Chevy Joliet when I seen "NO BIG THING" there. Those cars had to be two of the most popular race cars in the Chicago area.

John are you kidding me ? You saw No Big Thing ? last time I saw that car ...A Vespa....IT WAS AT A CAR SHOW AT McCormick Place YEARS AGO...THAT WAS A CRAZY CAR TO SEE RUN DOWN THE TRACK...DO YOU KNOW WHO THE OWNER IS ?

I believe I saw her at US 30 in the late 70's.She could Dance!

Bob it was the real car. I talked to the owner and his friend used to own it and he was able to buy it from him. Yes it was a Vespa I forgot how small and outrageous that car was. The car was in the Auto Zone tent I will try and find out what the owners name was.

I remember back in the day there were two cars running here called "Buckshy", popular cars, i believe they were early falcons, can't remember the years as i was about 12 but they were pretty popular as the two guys were always broke and were always just scraping by to show up to race hence the name. I remember becouse it was an interesting story to go with the name

I heard a rumor several years ago that the DEA had seized the Shake Rattle and Run car due to some "legal issues".
