Peck Deuces
Got these cool pictures from Schonye this morning. It seems that both of the Deuces sold by Peck Chevrolet have been reunited once again, only this time in Donahue, IA!
Check 'em out... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

Re: Peck Deuces
Looking very good Ken! That is kind of what happened with two of the Fencl Tufo Deuces this past November. Two got to meet up in Chicago together for the first time in 30+ years with Mr. Ed! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif
I hear that the blue Day 2 Deuce has a new home? |
Re: Peck Deuces
Ken BTW I sure hope that you plan on bringing a couple of the Deuces you have at your disposal to SCR7 this year.......There is probably going to be more Deuces there together than there has ever been anywhere else at one time! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

A Nice pair..Are Deuces Wild? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif
I recently picked up some pretty nice Cliff Peck Chevrolet Dealership 8x10 photos taken in 1968.They show Cliff & two Chevrolet Exec.in suits standing in the showroom posing, with a 1968 White Camaaro Convt.w/redlines in the Background with an Arkansas RazorBacks theme on the Camaro. In another you can see customers,as well as a Corvette Stingray in the background. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

Rob... You got any more pictures of the stickers on the Blue car? I need some more day-2 ideas. Thanks.

Re: Peck Deuces
Frank, the blue deuce will be going to the Holub collection, and he is having the day 2 equipment taken off.
The prior owner of the blue car and I have found out quite a bit on Peck, and the area. The prior owner was able to get the original Peck adds from the Ark gazette. It shows a blue auto, and red 4 spd. We also found info on KAAY little rock radio station, and were able to get period correct decals. I would guess these cars haven't set this close since they were on the show room floor in Little Rock. Schonye |

Love that color!
The story I got from a prior owner is that it broke down on the side of the road and it was just left there. A junk yard picked it up. It had been through a few engines, and had a big block in it at one time. I think a guy in southern MO is the one that blew it up, I'll have to dig up my notes. This car had black stripes installed at one time, unique look. |
Re: Peck Deuces
The stance on that car is perfect. I love it. Fathom Blue is the best.

Re: Peck Deuces
The blue Peck deuce is now owned by Gary Holub im Marion Ia. It has been returned to a sort of original look. I think it's going to the Forge show in Oct.
The Jensen/Dale deuce will look almost Identical to the day2 look of the Peck deuce when we get it finished hopefully for the NNN nationals in Cedar Rapids this coming year.Schonye |

Re: Peck Deuces
Thanks Sam, I think Jensen may go 7in rims instead of the 8s though, and G60s instead of L60s. Tires hitting the qtr suck. S.

Re: Peck Deuces
What set the spring height of the blue car? When that car was on ebay I had it set as my wall paper for months, I love it.

Re: Peck Deuces
We used 7" rims in the old days. Chrome reverse or rally wheels. Have my vintage slicks mounted on 7's now. Easier for clearance. Sam

Re: Peck Deuces
There was an extra leaf in the stack, and we used the old style H type shock extension. After the springs settled, and the bushings loosened up, the tires would rub enough that it was either go to air shocks, or go to smaller tires/rims. So he went smaller. S.
