Who agrees with me?
Would everyone not agree that GM should've made a Chevelle that had a '70 front end (4 headlights), with a '71 rear bumper (4 round taillights)?
I swear, if they would've done that, it would've been the best selling Chevelle ever! |

Re: Who agrees with me?
I agree with Don.
Especially when talking about the SS Model. The 70 rear SS pad is much more appealing then the petite 71-71 rear SS emblem. It's Bolder and just Blends Better overall,I think as well as those 70 rectangular tail lights. |

Are you talking about back then... or now? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
You do know they are working on a new Chevrolet Coupe for 2008... don't you? |
Re: Who agrees with me?
Sorry guys, no better Chevelles than the 69's https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

Re: Who agrees with me?
Actually, I'm partial to the 66-67 design. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Boy you guys are no help at all! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif
I meant "back then" if they combined the two. I think that combo would look absolutely perfect. |

Re: Who agrees with me?
I AGREE with Micky and Dan.. '69 Chevelle is what I wanted when I was a Kid and couldn't have, mostly because of the insurance.

Re: Who agrees with me?
I like them all, but I'm partial to the '69SS,because I had a '66 SS and the front area of the '69SS reminds me of the earlier Chevelle. By '69 the Chevelle SS had finally become an all around performance /handling package like the 442 and GTO--In My Humble Opinion-- https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

Re: Who agrees with me?
All the Chevelle's from 65-72 have merit. But I like 1969 best followed by 1966. But then again thats my take...BKH

Re: Who agrees with me?
The 70 Chevelle SS has to be the best designed car ever as far as appearance goes IMO. If someone has never seen a muscle car asked for someone to show them what one looked like they would be shown a pic of a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 or a 1969 Camaro Z28. That is just my opinion.

Re: Who agrees with me?
I agree completely. I had that thought to, when I drove my friend Hans LS-5 -71 last summer. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif
But my new ride is a -69, a 396 SS. From the factory it was fathom green with black vinyl top, and a four on the floor. But now itīs red with an automatic. It has made 10.20 on the strip. The last time it had the rearbumper on the ground. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif All steel, except the hood. Anders |
Re: Who agrees with me?
I personally think GM did it right the 1st time.If you like that style you need to rent the dvd SPEED DEMON from blocbuster. That movie has just what your looking for.kinda B rated but fun to watch.I love the way the 70 ss rear pad was.My opinion https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

Re: Who agrees with me?
I agree what Chevy put out looks the best.. My favorite is the 68 but the 71 follows real close.. I love the 71's just the way they are... But for some reason I don't like the frontend of the 72's much at all. Never did. Had a 71 14 years ago.. guess I'm still partial. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif
