Opinions on 4 Post home garage lifts

I am looking to buy a 4 post car lift with ramps to use for storage and maint. at home. Any opinions on which brands to buy? I am not looking to spend needless amounts of money, but, on the other hand don't want to destroy cars and possibly myself in the search to save a few bucks. The lift would have a car stored on top and below 99.9% of the time. Thanks for the help.

Mohawk is great too. Check Hemmings, towards the front pages, there endless amounts of them there.

I looked a a lot of them and ordered a back yard buddy. The construction is stronger than most on the market.

Bill, I have the Superior SR-7H lift and am very happy with. I ran a group purchase last year with some Corvette buddies (32 actually) and we got a pretty good deal - $3250 delivered with alum ramps, casters, jacking bridge, 6 drip trays, oil canister, 90 degree pump bracket. Email me if you want the contact name - they would likely give you the same deal.

What ceiling height do you need with these? My garage only has 9' ceilings.

I am also in the market for one or two if the price is right, myself. I have seen two in person and the ones from Wichita (lifts Unlimited) so far look the best to me. they are $2400. I liked the looks of the latching levers and how they are failure proof. Roy Sinor here in Tulsa has a couple and they look pretty good to me.

I also have litature on one from Ft Worth that I can buy for $1850. I like that price better. I am planning a road trip soon to see one in person.

If enough of us on here want to buy one perhaps we could make a wholesale purchace and everybody could save $$$$ ???

I looked up some of the old posts on this subject and found this (see attachment). Hmmmm, I am trying to save the cost of building an addition on the gargage......is it worth it?

I think that is some idiot that did that. From what I have seen of them they are pretty easy to see if they are not locking correctly. That looks like someone hit the post and knocked it out from under the car.

My first choice is to expand the garage, however with 2 kids in college my budget calls for a lift at this time.
