Hagerty classic car insurance

I am thinking about switching classic car insurance companies. I have heard some good things about Hagerty and I would like to know what you guys think of it. How many of you have Hagerty car insurance for your classic/musclecars?

I have 2 on Hagerty, and never had a claim.
Also have 2 with American Collectors...Placed a claim, gave them 2 estimates, and they paid the lower of the 2...no hassels.

Haggerty isn't available in my country, but I have heard good things about them from American friends.

Their commercials during the BJ Auction are super https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif if that means anything https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

We've had our cars insured through Hagerty for years and have been very pleased with them. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

What's the coverage for uninsured motorists and what kind of coverage do you get for yourself if you cause an accident. I am also wondering about the amount of mileage you can rack up a year and still be covered. My current insurance provider policy lets me put on 3,000 miles a year or less for each of my 69 Camaros.

I use them for my collection. They are easy to do business with and the rates are fair. Tom

Hello, I'm seeking helpful advice....I bought a 69 Camaro VERY NICE Big Block "Driver". Car resides at friends home on East Coast and I live in Seattle burbs. I am/was planning on leaving car with friend to participate at a few 2005 Car Show/Cruise events.
So I call Haggerty to insure car. First of all I estimated annual driving milage at 5000 (Wild Ass Guess) which apparently thay didnt like. Then they want me to have an insured REGULAR use car at my friends house, so I want use the 69 for REGULAR use when Im visiting. Tryed to explain that when Im visiting I would be with friend for any regular transportation purposes.
Guess I should have just not have mentioned back east situation as Ive have Washington Lic Plates and Reg on car.
Haggerty quoted me $271 per year for $35K agreed policy (including flat bed towing). Grundy wanted over $400 for same thing......
Now I'm calling J.C. Taylor who said they wouldnt insure it in WA state because it had Headers (Day 2 car).
I also might be applying with Condon and Skelly......but will need to somehow prove that a VERY NICE COPO "clone" could be worth $35K....
Feel free to contact me directly at [email protected]

Thanks, Chuck Sharin

I've had my cars insured with Hagerty and with my renewal coming up I called Tamara. She is very knowledgeable and I increased the coverage substantially for the about the same money I was paying Hagerty. I've had coverage with American Collectors, Hagerty, and now with MK. All agreed value and all companies who underwrite this business check out good.

I also use Haggerty, and one thing they offer that a few other companies don't, is a reduced rate for a trailered car that is not licensed.

There seem to be states that are a pain to do business in .I wonder why that is ???

Re: Hagerty classic car insurance

They (Hagerty) will also cover cars under resto in some cases which is a plus for large and growing collections.
