Try and keep your posts to one topic = one thread! No point in posting the same thing in different places and using up server capacity. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

Re: pop written codes

C 664 is probably a dealer stock number for the car

Those are keys codes, I=Ignition; T=Trunk

No biggie. Just trying to keep clutter to a minimum. Maybe a little sensitive due to the mountain of paper on my desk that I can't find anything in on a Saturday afternoon! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif

Re: pop written codes

H is HD 3 speed Muncie Trans (RPO M11 I think)
0 is 1970
M is August
026 is the 26th.

Remember, every other plant except Norwood was making parts for the 1970 model year by the end of August, so it's not surprising to find assembly number reflecting the 70 model year in Late Camaros, including engines stamp with 3 letter assembly codes.

Re: pop written codes

How about TO312CTX..... w/ 101545114 also stamped near it, 3969854 on back looks like a large P underit, GM w/ 8 under (above)#; both on drivers side , passenger side back of motor is C 6 70. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: pop written codes

C 6 70 Block was cast on March 6th 1970

T0312 CTX Tonowanda built 1970 396/350HP with manual transmission assembled March 12th 1970 from either a Camaro or Chevelle.

Last number seems to be a VIN derivative.

1=GM
0=1970
1=Wentzville
545114 Sequential VIN number

So I would think this is a Chevelle Engine.

Re: pop written codes

1=Oshawa Ontario Canada Plant
545114 is a VIN# for a 1970 Chevelle SS with a L34 4speed.
It was built at the Oshawa Canada plant in March 1970.

Thanks, we were told the other motor was the orig, we'll have to clean it up and pull the codes off it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif
