Low mile "Nickey" Camaro on EBay

Surprized this one didn't come up already. Anyone buying this story. Pretty amazing a 6K miles car could have a black brake booster, need paint, have the wrong air cleaner, yet still have a flawless nickey sticker on the valve cover. Looks like a nice car. Hopefully for someone its real.

I just read the E-bay deal on this car. I would pay for a video of this guy taking the old paint off by hand with a razor blade. He must really have a lot of time on his hands.
Sounds like just another "fish story" to me.

Looks and sounds good, but why is there always the "Oh, I forgot to mention I lost the documentation in a Flood"? As knowledgable as the seller sounds, would it not be a givin that the documentation would be guarded as if it were 100K in cash? Anyone here know of this car?

Inner fenderwells have been swapped out too. Whoever replaced them forgot the rubber weathergards. I too really like the part that reads "I stripped the car to bare metal by hand using razorblades it took three months ".

Agreed. And what's up with that air cleaner? Looks like the whole engine was hijacked out of a full size 66 - 67 car. Is that a Vette Fest Gold Spinner award plaque in the trunk?

Love the 396/325 air cleaner. That turns 425 horses into what, 150? I'll bet it whistles through that small air hole at WOT...

I wonder if his wife knows that by "throwing away" the car's "paperwork" she thus turned a $100,000 car into a $25,000 car? Boy would I be pissed. No more "headaches" when we turn out the lights, okay wifey-pooh?

This car was advertised at the Peotone, IL show in June, 2002 and I went to take a better look at it a few days later at the owners house.
Needless to say I wasn't convinced enough by what I saw to pursue it further.

Now I know who stole the hand rail out of the handicapped stall. Looks like this guy installed it on his dash. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif Just another one of many interesting mods on a supposed 6,000 mile car if you ask me.

'69 Camaros did actually have a "whoa Nelly" grab handle located there, but only with the interior trim package, or deluxe interior which included a ribbed plastic panel behind the grab bar and moved the Camaro script to the left hand side. Wouldn't make too much sense to punch the Camaro emblem everytime you tried to use the grab bar. It looked way less bathroom issue than that too, alot like the pulls on a '69 deluxe door panel actually. Just being picky today, I'm sure grab bar is the least of that car's problems.

Sam, I didn't see the dates but a friend called me today that did. 1974 dated block casting #s 289 on the block. So much for it being a "69 installed 427" The color was suppost be correct it's not. it's d yellow and black roof by what the trim tag says. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif
