Re: Thanks for all the help with Fathom Green
Looking good. I've looked at your car every time I stop by the shop to check on my JL8. I hope to see the Hugger Orange on my car pretty soon as well.

Re: Thanks for all the help with Fathom Green
sc69sam, the car is dupont chroma premier base coat w/dupont 7900S clear. Actually the clear was sprayed on with 3 coats then we let it set for a week blocked it out with 1000 grit paper and an additional 3 coats sprayed on. Now it's ready for sanding and polishing.
Jeff, You should see orange in the end of march or as soon as you can find a word that rhymes with orange. Rich. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif |

Rich also painted my Z11. He performed all of the body work and paint and I did just about everything else. I had it at last years Camaro Nationals at Carlisle. Since then I have met the original owner, met the dealer that sold it to him and found the original sales invoice and have been able to document all the crazy options on the car. I'm hoping to have it at the 2004 Carlisle event alongside Robert's L89. I think Rich/PRC is going to put up a display there. Here's a photo of the car in warmer days. -NJSteve

Re: Thanks for all the help with Fathom Green
Thanks for the kind words, the L-89 was a fun and challenging body to tackle, but we really enjoy working on these special cars. Steve's Pace Car was also enjoyable. And Jeff's J-L8 is right in the midst of all the fun (welding the 1/4's and tail panel on).
Mark, I am always excited to hear about new projects. I thank God every day that I can do something that I truly love for a living. Rich. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif |
