Man do you have some talent!
Something like that wouldn't even cross my mind.
Hope your backs healed up.
If not you could have a new career

68z302 Thanks for the compliment, You members are the first to see this. I started to make templates for a 68 camaro then i was going to go off the edge and make a 69 camaro conv, but my love for the titanic chevys took over. I just hope that i live long enough to finish it!

You chose an excellent subject....now how are you going to scallop those 4.09 valve covers !?

COPOL89 10-29-2003 03:27 PM

Re: something unique for modelers

Belair62: The valve covers might be the easy part the bowtie is the hard part (copy rite infringment?)i might have to get permission on that one. or i could go with a copy of the offenhauser style that seems to be the latest rage with the 409s

COPOL89,
As my grandfather would say----"Hands of Gold"

Re: something unique for modelers

JOEG/Belair :Some people who have seen some of my stuff say that i missed my calling in life and should persue my true talent, The armmond smith car was the fuel for the fire, but white isnt a color thats an eye catcher but..... i really like that blue! i have thought of many color combos but i think that its going to be blue now for shure, i even went as far as buying the old collectable tire ash trays just to use the rubber it took me 2 years to find 4 matching tire ash trays, then i bought a 409/425 complete engine just to build the new 4.09 block with accurate detail. So if you attend one of the shows in the future and you see a white 69 Camaro SS/RS 396 conv, and the now "BLUE" 62 Belair w/ "FINNED OFFYS" on a table in front of it it will be me. Now heres a question that everyone asks me -what are you going to do with it when its done you cant drive it?And i still don't have an answer to that one.... Man, all I can say is WOW! Looks like the man above has shown you your tallent! The car alone is amazing, but with a funtional motor, window crancks, ect, is just way too cool. Puts a whole nother level to modeling, that I never thought would exist. Now I think it would be great if you could turn your tallent into a career .

bill(still amazed )

Re: something unique for modelers

Thanks newguy as for the career, a new job would be nice i have been in the auto body buisness 30 years and after fixing mangled train wrecks on the frame machine everyday (under pressure because the boss wants the big check) my belair is like a vacation from reality! Some new cars are like trying to fix a nasa satillite that fell from the sky. I don't think the manufacuters want them repaired anymore.
