Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
I'll withold comment on the YELLOW interior.... Rare? Yes.. appealing?

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
That's a great combination. I've seen a couple in person at car shows and they look a lot better in person than they do in pictures.

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
Jeff...Didn't you buy that Yellow Yellow Rusty JL8 Car before you bought my Orange one ?
|
Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
Different--very nice.

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
It wasn't Yellow/Yellow, it was a black standard interior. Yes, that car is still being restored at the same shop my car is being done. I think the Yellow/black top/yellow houndstooth interior is a nice combination. Just don't look at it too long.

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
Charlie,
The Yellow J-L8 Jeff bought first has a black standard int. And that car is right next to your old orange car getting a ground up resto here in Jersey. |
Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
Jeff H,
Yeah, your right about looking at it too long , kinda makes your lips pucker, but still looks yellow with yellow int .combo, I think it would come across better without the blk top, but that's just me.--JoeG |
Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
Wanna Trade somethin for that POS Joel ?

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
not cutting on anyone elses color opinions.. I just HATE yellow on cars. inside and out.. I'm a black interior guy to the bone. But I guess I'm getting soft or old because lately i've also taken interest in WHITE interiors... Anything else? Black is #1.. white is #2.. there is no #3 with me. Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
That must be the Pittsburgh Steeler edition. Dont drag race with it though, you'd probably be winning through the first 200 feet, then end up losing badly at the end.

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
I for one like the houndstooth interior, even in Yellow. Wish my Yellow Yenko had come with it.

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
I have worked out a deal on a group of 26 Camaro's in Texas, most needing restoration, two of the 26 are Daytona Yellow. One is a 69 Z-28 low option standard black interior, odd as it came with a factory 4:88 rear, car has 26,000 actual miles so it was most likely for racing. The other is Daytona Yellow SS/RS 396/350, PS, PDB, AC, PW, tilt, Rosewood wheel and dash, black vinyl top, yellow houndstooth interior, tach, console with gauges, I would guess dealer installed cruise, fiber optics, SS chevelle type wheels, endura front bumper, full rear bumper guards, black tail panel, TH400 auto, full tinted glass, black hockey stripes, AM/FM stereo, Multiplex 8 Track, and rear defog. Is there anything in the way of options this car did not have? It will require a full restoration but the car is complete and numbers matching, I am trying to decide if it would be worth the $$$ and effort to do the resto considering what most would believe to be a Gawd Awful color combo. I have some photos if anyone wants to see, any thoughts on this car?
Thanks, Motown |

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
I absolutely love the Yellow Houndstooth with Daytona Yellow paint. The vinyl top actually compliments it.

Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
Camarojoe.
Sorry about photo quality, it sucks, I had to take photos from a video i shot. Got 26 cars, many outside in the pastures of Texas, many inside, convert's, Z-28's. Pace Car's, BB, SB, and several truck loads of parts. In this day and age it would seem almost impossible to come across a group like this, 25 years he has been collecting, I heard about it from a neighbor in Michigan who once worked in the guys body shop. Many of the cars, like this yellow on yellow big block got dissasembled as soon as he brought them home, but thankfully he has saved everything and then some. Anyone looking for project cars, I got them, 67 thru 69, he didnt save any plain janers, they were all optioned SS, RS, Z28, etc. The two photos here show this yellow car to be #7 and rough, but he has everything he removed so it is a numbers matching highly optioned car.(Notice the PW switch) He got it in the early eighties with a spun rod bearing from a guy for $250, been sitting ever since. The only other Daytona Yellow car in the group is a 26,000 mile 69 Z. It is stored inside. I need a partner on this project if anyone is interested. Re: Yellow Yellow 69 Z/28
Joe,
I got a bunch of pics of most of the cars, I am trying to come up with a hosting service so a link can go to all the pics instead of to individual ones the way I have it set up now. Anyone know of a good service to use? Motown |
