1969 true Yenko?

Is it possible this can be a true Yenko? The sequence number appears not to be inline with the build date

This car is owned by a board member, maybe he can answer your questions. Roger

The sequence number is fine, the car is the real deal. I think this is the Adcock brothers old car?

Yes, That is the former Adcock bros. car. I went to see it when it arrived from the west. That is one of the BEST that I have seen. Lets hope that it gets a GOOD home. "MOF"

Your records are correct, Marlin. Recently, I made a deal [including a trade] with the present owner. The car is truly an exceptional Yenko Camaro.

Nice job with the pictures, Jimmy! You'll miss it when it's gone, Joe.

-----Couldnt help noticing the Vinyl roof on this beautiful car. There is another documented Yenko being talked about in another post that said no Yenkos came with vinyl roofs. Is there a story to this roof as there was with the other one?...........Bill S

Note the picture showing the Yenko Invoice and $66.70 charge for the vinyl top. Not much of a story, but a bargain nontheless.

I ALSO HAD THE OPPURTUNITY TO INSPECT THIS CAR WHEN IT LANDED ON THE EAST COAST. IT IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST ONES I HAVE SEEN. YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A BETTER ONE AVAILABLE FOR SALE.... KP

Re: 1969 true Yenko?

Quite a few Yenkos had vinyl roofs, what makes Kevin's different is that it did not come with a vinyl from the factory. The fellow that bought the car decided he wanted a vinyl roof so it went to a trim shop and he had a 1968 style roof installed.

Re: 1969 true Yenko?

Well if everyone remembers that the first batch of 50 yenko's did not come with vinyl roofs. This car had its top put on at regency tops. They used the 68 trim cause it was easier to put on across the bottom then to put the halo style top on.

Re: 1969 true Yenko?

I don't mean to pick on this car, but if the vinyl top was added after it arrived at Yenko, why does it have the 76 B on the trim tag? Shouldn't it be 76 76? I would assume that is a repo trim tag then. Very nice car, but for some reason that trim tag jumped out at me as not original.

Re: 1969 true Yenko?

Jeff, Kevins car had it added not the D/Yellow one that is on E-bay which is in the link above. This is also the same car that is seen in the Yenko Storage lot which shows it had a black top along with the endura front bumper. Also one of the guys noticed that there are some other cars in the pic. Looks like a Wagon and a big 4 dr in the mix of Camaros.

Re: 1969 true Yenko?

Gotcha. Too many Kevins and too many yellow Yenkos to keep them all straight. That trim tag still looks odd the way the B is shifted way over to the right next to the PNT.

T Billigen 03-29-2003 03:00 AM

Re: 1969 true Yenko?

My trim tag is the same way. The B is right up against the word paint. Mine is a 2D car.
