Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Charley,
You need to add a SuperBike or two to your collection in order to achieve balance, You guys on the West Coast have a name for it. Even that Ottis guy got into Bikes. I have just the Super Bike, one of only 50 made by Ducati Corse, Numbered, Still on Race only C/O. A Ducati 996 SPS. |
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Stephano...I probably have the fastest Honda 50 Monkey on the West Coast. Superbike but little....You need bikes ? I got lotsa bikes...

Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Charley, you need to send a car to me so you have one to drive when you visit Hawaii. As for bikes i will be looking at a Kaw 500 Triple a guy is selling along with 15 years worth of race/street parts. asking price is $1750 for the lot.
Love the sound of one of those triples with Dyno Tuned pipes. https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif [Edited by HawaiianCamaro (02-28-2002 at 05:11 AM).] |
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Charley,
Tell you what, let's drag for pinks at the reunion. The Motion not the Monkey https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif |
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
I sold a Nice H1 500 Triple on Ebay about a year ago for about the same price. It got shipped to Japan. Quite afollowing for those bikes.

Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Charley, try removing that ugly tail or include one of your dogs. That would probably help you sell it.
|
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
I kinda like the tail!! The eye if the beholder???
|
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Charley, how is the car to drive and how fast is that damn thing? Would this be the last Motion car or were there any others made after yours?

Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
The Mickey Thompson Indy Profile tires are hard so it makes it tough to drive but I hate the idea of removing them. Still not sure which switch is for the Nitrous. I think Joel did a couple other cars later. remember he wasn't supposed to be doing street cars at this time because of Emissions tampering.

Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Motion built some Camaros and Monte Carlos around 1983-84. Mostly just fiberglass, paint, and big wheels. He drove one and may still have it.

Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Those old two stroke triples and even some twins for that matter were lethal combinations.
|
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Maybe it won't work because I'm too Lazy ?
|
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Charley,
I would buy 4 of the tickets, just 395 still to go!!! No eBay commissions either.Let someone pull the winner at the Supercar Reunion. Just in case, I will bring the two car trailer!! |
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
Sounds like a good idea to me also,I will buy some tickets and I'm sure I can sell a few also.If you think it will work do it!! sounds like fun to me
|
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
What if you Guys just send me some Money ? Yeah...Thats the Ticket....
|
Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
You guys on the West Coast always distort the facts. It's 'show me the money' not 'send me the money', but your way does sound better https://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: 80 Motion Phase 3 Camaro
So there I was driving along in my Taurus loaner car, after dropping off my Expedition at the dealer for service. For some reason Charley's Camaro pops into my head. And then inspiration!!
I know how you can get the price you want for this unique car and we all can have some fun. Raffle it off! Think about it at $100 a ticket you need 400 to get your $40,000. If there is a lower number you would be willing to take for the car then make it a lower number of tickets. Say up front how many tickets is the minimum you will need to raffle the car. If you do not reach that minimum all moneys will be returned. Require a postal order or travlers checks. When people mail you their money they include a SASE. Now I was thinking how do we ensure the raffle is fair? (I trust ya but my mother made me a cynical person) Ok..get this. You could raffle it of at the Super Car Reunion. In front of everyone no mystery about the process. I know I could line up at least 5 friends with $100 for such a wild car as this Camaro. I am ready with my $100!! Good idea or too much effort? Should I get back into the Taurus and keep thinking??? Just an idea....... [Edited by AutoInsane (03-19-2002 at 09:55 AM).] |
