Saw these on FB and I'd never seen these Chevelles before, so I thought I'd share.

----Like that blue one!....Bill S

Derek69SS 02-05-2026 09:25 PM

Dusk Blue is not one of the colors that Yenko Chevelles were built.

That red one is real.

olredalert 02-05-2026 09:27 PM

----Oh well! Any chance it's a color change or is it known to be a copy. Also a thought that it might, and I do mean might, be a dressed up COPO?

Formula455SD 02-05-2026 09:38 PM

I'll take the red one..

67since67 02-05-2026 10:25 PM

May have seen the red one at the Mid America Chevelle Regional in Kansas City? Unless there are two unrestored red ones?
IIRC still in the hands of the OO.

60sStuff 02-05-2026 11:32 PM

I’ll also take that Red one with rust / patina.
Just the way I like muscle cars.

X66 714 02-06-2026 03:03 AM

There was a white one in Tucson during the early 70s. I saw it every morning when I was walking to school. The car was destroyed in a car accident, parted out & the rest scrapped....Joe

JoeC 02-06-2026 12:52 PM

the red car is the one where the original owner towed his sprint car with it

Does anyone have hard info on where this car went after Kennie? I see he died a while ago.

Looking for more of the Red car as Post #1, all I found online was the pic below w/ same side stripe scrapes, from a 10 year old posting on this Reddit page…

Does anyone know the VIN for this car? If I remember correctly, it was sold new at Van T. Chevrolet in Mission KS. I don't see it in the registry.

In 2015 that one, a 68 427 Harrell Chevy II and Roger Days 69 Harrell Chevelle were all placed together at this show. I took many detail photos of them but not a group shot. I guess I took it for granted that they would be at every show being the owners were club members.

Pix of the Harrell car parked across from me at the 2022 KC show, possibly owned by a member here??,, from MN??

Seems I remember seeing you there Dustin?

Derek69SS 02-12-2026 02:37 PM

That's the first I've ever seen the bottom side of a Dick Harrell hood.

I've often wondered how difficult it would be to make one from a Glasstek hood, but I see the whole bottom structure is very different. Glasstek hoods were molded off a factory steel '68 inner structure. The Dick Harrell (A&A?) hood is a completely different design and shape of the whole structure.

The last time I saw the red Yenko, the owner had taken the bench seat out and installed buckets. :mad2:

Yes, we spoke briefly at this show. I had driven down for the day on this one. And I believe a few weeks prior we chatted for a while at the Ankeny show

well, that's not good. Bench seat cars are soooo cool. I hope he kept it. Next thing you know he'll be putting a console in it. Oh well...

Yes we did! Your MCACN tee shirt was a conversation starter. That was a crazy summer for me, rolled up a lot of miles...
