If it's this car, while you are gazing at it, understand it's worth more than every car in that show combined!!

Cheers (and have fun!!!):beers:

----You are so right, Dave! Talked to Dana about it at MCACN and we are going to see something astronomical go across the block at Mecum Auctions!....Bill S

They were pretty tight about security this year too. I was told there was a private security person/team, watching everyone around it and on site all night. I was standing 10 feet from it with Lloyd, the Vintage Certification photographer, after hours and didn't really notice anyone speciale. As I was looking at it, I was thinking I would have to buy a really big building to keep all the other cars in before I could justify the expected price of just that 1 car... I've never been enamored with european cars anyway and to spend that level of coin for a car I couldn't drive on the street just doesn't compute.

"The Ferrari 250 GTO "Bianco Speciale" has a value estimated between $60 million and $72 million, according to Hagerty Media. Its value is based on its rarity as the only factory-built white 250 GTO and its unique provenance, which could also make it the most expensive Ferrari ever sold at auction. "

I love the tow vehicle!

FWIW, I think that Hagerty value is WAY too high. This white GTO does have an interesting history, but it no longer has its original engine (NOT a numbers matching car). In fact, it may be the only GTO without its original engine.

I'll bet the bidding stalls well below those Hagerty numbers. A car like this has likely already been offered, privately, to several higher-profile, well-educated and well-heeled buyers. Being at Mecum means that those private buyers have already passed on it.
