I was checking my emails today and I saw this car in a link for an upcoming auction in November. I thought some members of the site would be interested in it. One of my favorite colors for a Z! :D

The Z/28 emblem is not straight on the front fender

Information writeup. “Correct Polyglas Tires” aren’t of course. They’re F70’s and they’re Polyglas. The E70 Wide Tread GT in the trunk IS correct however;)

Nice air cleaner element :-)

Standard interior with grab handle on pass dash

I’m sure guys smarter than me will chime in, but …hmmm…I’m still trying to figure out what collapsed rings are:)

That's Z23, special interior.

How can it be one owner when he's dead?

shows sold for 132,500

66cayne 11-19-2025 04:24 PM

what's with the additional receiver under the dash, for FM reception? Was that a dealer or customer addon?

Bill Pritchard 11-19-2025 06:39 PM

Yes, for FM reception. Probably added by the owner.

mssl72 11-19-2025 08:20 PM

I haven't seen one of those FM converters in a while! I used to sell them when I worked at Lafayette Radio.

sixt9rsx33 11-23-2025 02:34 PM

I have been to this auction twice. Not really a great place to visit in my opinion. But I live in Charlotte and this auction is in Greensboro which doesn't offer that much IMO. There are a few good buys at this auction but a lot of cobbled together cars that I doubt most of this group would appreciate.
I had one of those FM converters in my 1970 Maverick in 1978. Thought I had the best radio out there LOL.
