Looking for history on a Deuce

I'm looking for anybody that previously owned the Deuce in my garage so I can finish piecing together it's history. It's Forest Green, and the NCRS said the original delivery dealer was Yenko in Canonsburg. It's not on the known inventory sheets, and it's not on the known FG Deuce list. I bought it from an elderly guy in Bay City Michigan many years ago and am pretty sure it lived most of it's life in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Is your deuce an automatic?

W:eek2:W first posting also welcome aboard!
Others can confirm but other than the 2x cars shipped to Canada, don’t all NCRS results for Copo 9010 cars come back Yenko, regardless of what Network Dealer sold it?
If any help, here's a few Old Newspaper Ads I had saved for Deuces advertised in Michigan and Pennsylvania, all are private Ads other than the Stauffer one also 1’st Ad the only one from Michigan, others PA.
Note dates/descriptions also phone #’s are all different but some may be the same cars?
There’s more Ads in other old threads here also let us know if you need any help back-tracking leads you may find.
Best of luck w/ your Deuce also its history search!
:beers:

Sorry, I should have clarified, I'm not a new member, I'm just one of the many old non-active members who lost/forgot all my account info, so signed up again.

But I was hoping if any older members remember anyone inquiring if anyone knew of their old Forest Green Deuce. Of all the websites on the internet, this is the best place for someone to find the history of their old Yenko..

I made Marlin aware of this thread.

66sprint 10-22-2025 09:00 PM

Yes, if anyone knows, it's Marlin. But we spoke about this a while ago and there was no history found on this car. I was hoping any new information would have come up in the past few years on this forum from anyone inquiring about their old Deuce.

If it's not any list how do we know it's a real Deuce?
Just curious.

Hope you find more info!

....and without power steering.

There were 8 automatic FG Deuces, 4 with p/s and 4 without p/s. All 4 of the FG auto's with p/s have been found belonging to at one time: Felix (RIP), Earl, Lou, and Dan. However, only 1 of the FG auto's w/out p/s has been found belonging to William Brown of J&W Nova in Danville, VA (still OG paint BTW!!). So, this Deuce will be sans p/s.

Also, all Deuces will be listed as sold by Yenko Chev according to NCRS, and since this car was found in MI a very long time ago it is likely that it was sold from one of the following dealerships:

- Dik Watson Chev, Williamston, MI
- Harry May Chev, Monroe, MI

Both of these dealerships sold 2 Deuces each that we know of. Since the initial minimum order quantity was 3 it stands to reason that each of these dealers has 1 additional Deuce that we don't have an inventory sheet for - yet.

So, any info or stories you may have heard - whether at a show or a race track - would be helpful to piece together the history on this one.

Pic for attention.

So does this mean for than 175 Deuces?

Derek69SS 10-23-2025 02:41 PM

Do records exist to show how many LT-1s were shipped to Willow Run?

Pro Stock John 10-23-2025 06:50 PM

Do you remember the seller's name?

Crush 10-23-2025 09:34 PM

Would love to see some pictures of it

I'll get this up on Lost Muscle Cars.

I don't remember the sellers name. It's written down somewhere in the piles of life's documents accumulated over the years. I'd have to dig it out. I think it was Mike. But I know the previous owner bought it non-running and let it sit for about 20 years in his barn in Michigan. He sold it exactly the way he bought it many years earlier, nothing was done to it in his ownership. It was modified to be a bracket racer before he owned it. He said it was never raced after a previous owner (to him) modded it into a racer. I've heard possible stories from various people over the years that state that they know the car and it was raced, but none of the stories were ever proven to be this car, and could have been other Forest Green cars in their memories.
