Heckuva first new Corvette!

That is a great document, Ralph. It is an 001AA special paint code, also. I have that one in my files and I love it.
Wow. Wish I had one for my LT-1. When I got it, the tank had already been removed once and the PO either didn't find it or just didn't keep it.
Nice build for sure!
Only black interior was available with Daytona yellow, but I wanted saddle/yellow that is why special paint, this sheet was in the car on the passenger side floor when it arrived at the dealer

Can't believe I was able to figure out how to rotate a picture...
Bill, Ralph's is a 69 Daytona Yellow.
Ralph, did you have to put down a big deposit since it was a non-available color combination? I notice a number in the COPO box, too. |
TimG, no deposit I worked at the dealership

I've seen several special paint 70 Chevelle's with the owners name on the build sheet Ralph but I'm an amateur when it comes to Corvette's so yours is the first for me.
Ralph, I've paperwork with names on Brass Hat cars, COPO paint cars, astronaut cars, and the Bart Star 1967 Corvette. I will say it is unusual to see a name on paperwork and that is pretty cool.
Can you start a thread so we can see some of them

I would need to modify the documents or get the owners permission. Some have been on the internet or at auction. Many were sent to me confidentially.

----Ralph,,,Do you know where the car is today?....Bill S

Looks like 68/11/14
1968 November 14th day |
Expected production date on broadcast sheet says "8/00/00". No '6' in front of the '8' there. But I suspect your deciphering is correct, Rick.
----Wow, Ralph! Did you trade the 67 on this Riverside gold coupe? That was a bad hit. I'm guessing it was a total. I bought a new RG 435 69 off of Ed Stinn in Cleveland in November of 67. The original short block went south 3 weeks later (wrist pin in one cylinder was frozen and forced the piston into the cylinder wall). The dealer claimed they could fix that short block, but I opted for a new CE short block. Do you also have the paperwork for the 69?....Bill S
I never had a 67 or a Riverside gold 69.
----Sorry, I apologize. I just have made some assumptions, I guess....Bill S
Should have been illegal for an 18 year to drive a car like that.
