Bring A Trailer
Signed up last week and made my first bid couple of days ago.Sure are a lot of "experts" making comments. Some knowledgeable, some not so much.
|
Good luck on the bidding Bill.
Let us know how it turns out. |
Yep, it’s part of the “experience.”
|
What are you bidding on?
|
.......Bring a grain of salt & your thick skin too.

And sometimes sarcasm. I was pointing out that the engine in one of the 69 Zs could not be original to the car. One guy really took offense. Posted something like "Look, Camarolynn read a book about Camaros."
Lots of guys with no clue. Incredible amount of misinformation. One guy seems to chime in on EVERY car I have ever looked at. |

Atrocious descriptions apparently generated by some crappy AI filling out a crappy mad-lib template, combined with commentary dominated by a cesspool of 'social media'-bred morons.
What more could you ask for? |

69 Z/28's really bring out the comments there.
|
By now you guys should know, ALL the real experts are on the internet! Just ask them!

I just bought a Porsche on bring a trailer. Everything the guy said about it was a lie. But there's nothing I can do because I bought it. I can't leave any feedback, can't let anybody know this guy is a scammer, all I can do is throw money at it to make it right. That's bullshit.

I’ve heard all communication with BAT is on line. No phone discussions with them. Is this true?

I sold my 1958 Scarab Replica on Bring A Trailer and it was a great experience. I was happy with the price and the buyer was happy with the car. I recently bought a car on Bring a Trailer and "fortunatly" I was happy with the purchase. That being said, I can see how it could be a disaster, too.
|
It sure is addictive, the ultimate car porn site, lol!!
|
I’ve sold a couple on there. Both good experiences. One guy flew in to look on the final day of the sale then stayed at a nearby coffee shop and bid from his phone. When he got past his limit and was out, he really gave a nice testimonial about what he saw in person and might have helped instill confidence.

This can happen when you browse Bring a Trailer. Just what I don't need. Just say no !
|
Exactly!!!!!
I found myself looking at a 32' long land speed attempt car...... |

I love looking at the vintage go-karts on BAT.
|
One of the few things on there you don't need a trailer for Charley.
|
This was my experience on BaT. It was a lot of work but studying how other sellers got crucified I tried to beat all the critics to the punch, stay engaged and roll out additional info thru out the listing period to keep it fresh and interesting. Ended up setting a record price for steel body carb GTBs so I was happy overall, and the exposure can't be beat for the listing price.

That's one of the coolest go carts ever, and it looks wicked fast, lol.

It reminds me of my Go Kart from the 60's. I'd tear up the neighborhood with this beast.
|
Driveway burnouts!!
|
Drifts and slides.
|
Plenty of "mini trail" minibikes on BaT too!!

How is BAT these days, aside from the go-cart market that appears to be functioning well?
I'm putting my Camaro up for sale and I think I'll use BAT but wasn't sure how it was these days. |
Wow, that is an impressive Camaro.
