Bring A Trailer

Signed up last week and made my first bid couple of days ago.Sure are a lot of "experts" making comments. Some knowledgeable, some not so much.

69PostSSChevelle 03-02-2025 10:45 PM

Good luck on the bidding Bill.
Let us know how it turns out.

scuncio 03-02-2025 11:12 PM

Yep, it’s part of the “experience.”

69M22Z 03-02-2025 11:26 PM

What are you bidding on?

Mr70 03-02-2025 11:39 PM

.......Bring a grain of salt & your thick skin too.

x2.

Lynn 03-03-2025 02:20 AM

And sometimes sarcasm. I was pointing out that the engine in one of the 69 Zs could not be original to the car. One guy really took offense. Posted something like "Look, Camarolynn read a book about Camaros."

Lots of guys with no clue. Incredible amount of misinformation.
One guy seems to chime in on EVERY car I have ever looked at.

LOL! I'm Italian....no thick skin here!

bdk1976 03-03-2025 06:03 PM

Atrocious descriptions apparently generated by some crappy AI filling out a crappy mad-lib template, combined with commentary dominated by a cesspool of 'social media'-bred morons.

What more could you ask for?

I see that guy too. Is there an award for comments? I dont think he has every bid on anything

TMagda 03-05-2025 03:18 PM

69 Z/28's really bring out the comments there.

bashton 03-05-2025 10:45 PM

By now you guys should know, ALL the real experts are on the internet! Just ask them!

Seldom right, never in doubt.

GMC_Typhoon 03-09-2025 06:36 PM

I just bought a Porsche on bring a trailer. Everything the guy said about it was a lie. But there's nothing I can do because I bought it. I can't leave any feedback, can't let anybody know this guy is a scammer, all I can do is throw money at it to make it right. That's bullshit.

I’ve heard all communication with BAT is on line. No phone discussions with them. Is this true?
🤷*♂️

You can send a contact the seller message and give them your phone number and talk to them. You can even go look at the car.

TimG 03-09-2025 10:36 PM

I sold my 1958 Scarab Replica on Bring A Trailer and it was a great experience. I was happy with the price and the buyer was happy with the car. I recently bought a car on Bring a Trailer and "fortunatly" I was happy with the purchase. That being said, I can see how it could be a disaster, too.

BJCHEV396 04-16-2025 07:56 PM

It sure is addictive, the ultimate car porn site, lol!!

SMS 04-16-2025 11:58 PM

I’ve sold a couple on there. Both good experiences. One guy flew in to look on the final day of the sale then stayed at a nearby coffee shop and bid from his phone. When he got past his limit and was out, he really gave a nice testimonial about what he saw in person and might have helped instill confidence.

I am always amazed by the money some cars bring on there with that format.

TimG 04-17-2025 03:03 PM

I love looking at the vintage go-karts on BAT.

Mr70 04-17-2025 03:15 PM

One of the few things on there you don't need a trailer for Charley.

SMS 04-17-2025 06:17 PM

This was my experience on BaT. It was a lot of work but studying how other sellers got crucified I tried to beat all the critics to the punch, stay engaged and roll out additional info thru out the listing period to keep it fresh and interesting. Ended up setting a record price for steel body carb GTBs so I was happy overall, and the exposure can't be beat for the listing price.

That's one of the coolest go carts ever, and it looks wicked fast, lol.

It reminds me of my Go Kart from the 60's. I'd tear up the neighborhood with this beast.

69M22Z 04-17-2025 09:58 PM

Driveway burnouts!!

TimG 04-17-2025 11:03 PM

Drifts and slides.

dykstra 04-18-2025 11:22 AM

How is BAT these days, aside from the go-cart market that appears to be functioning well?
I'm putting my Camaro up for sale and I think I'll use BAT but wasn't sure how it was these days.

TimG 04-28-2025 05:30 PM

Wow, that is an impressive Camaro.
