If it was on a jack wouldn’t the front tires be closer to the fender? With the rear digging in under acceleration, the front end would lift up as in the pic.

Front wheels would be at full droop if jack stand was on the frame, not under the suspension.

I remember watching Hans Schmidt race his Cobra in Western NY back in the 60s. One race in particular was against the Al Marone lightweight Ford. The Marone car later won at the nationals just to be DQ’d on tear down.
