The Horn Works

1 Attachment(s)
I am not sure if this is the proper place to say this, but I wanted to pass on that I found the Horn Works link here and sent up a set of horns that were simply wrecked and I could not be happier with the results.

I really wish I had taken pictures before I sent them to show the junk they had to work with but they just came back and look new and sound great.

$239 was a bargain compared to finding replacements or buying reproductions. One of my horns needed a new bracket, $15 and looks just like the other one.

Gary has done my horns for likely over 20 years and have always been 100% satisfied with the results, cost and turnaround.

I know the #9000290 high note and #9000289 low note horns are supposed to be dated Year/Month/Week. When I sent my horns to Gary, I asked him about the way my horns were dated Week/Month/Year. Gary said he has seen horns dated this way which made me feel much better. He also said there is not a 9th week.

Gary is the best. Incredibly professional and courteous, he just does it right the first time.

Here’s some pictures of the finished horns and what they typically look like disassembled. I even had him make me a low note horn….not available on my 68 convertible, but whatever. Looks cool, sounds cool.

Gary is awesome…..has done several sets for me. Best there is .

Gary did a preservation restoration on my 70 Chevelle horns. They look like they’ve never been touched. And, they sound great!

1C9 and 2C9 are common backwards stamps on 69 Camaro horns. At first glance you would think a 71 and 72 horn. (Same horns). Then we realize there is not a week 9 . gary

mhm1966 08-12-2024 10:35 PM

Gary, I hope the Legends Judges are aware of 1C9 and 2C9 being common backwards stamps on 1969 Camaro horns. I would hate to get a deduction for the backwards stamp.
