I love those cars.

Remember going to the dealer and seeing them in the showroom. Probably as cool as you get for the early 80's, I still think their neat

I like those era cars quite a bit.

"Rust pinhole in roof" is a bit concerning for that price point, I'm assuming it's at the front edge of the roof.

One of the Fabricators at work wants one bad, I’ll let him know.

I am completely truck/tow vehicle crazy right now!!!

I don't know much about these, but man that thing looks ROUGH. I can't imagine even the parts being available to make that nice again, let alone the cost of restoring it.

RPOLS3 09-28-2023 12:28 PM

Appears to be all there - just sun baked and wore out. I would think at $14k you could find a much better example to start with. Hard to believe not too long ago all these 80's G Bodies that have become popular now were just used cars and daily driven examples could be had for $4-5k all day long. No different than late 60's Chevelles and Camaro's were back in the 80's I suppose......

I remember back in the day a guy at “Dukes Drive In” had one of these Hurst Olds that was modified.
I remember vividly the copious amounts of Armor All he would slather on the tires. LOL

I agree, that one is a bit rough for that price.

Is there something we need to know about those tires?

----Well, that's a no brainer! You couldn't make the 1st one into the 2nd for anywhere near the difference in price!.....Bill S

My friend bought one new with t-tops when he was 18 yrs old. We used to swap cars for the day. I had a 69 SS396 Chevelle. We beat on each other’s cars all day ! Those lightning rods could chirp a mean gear !

That's impressive. I've had a couple 1990 Cadillac Broughams with the Olds 307, and those couldn't get out of their own way. My 97-hp 85 CJ-7 would run away from one of those.
