Baldwin-Motion Vette?

Saw this post on FB; anyone know this Vette, and if it's a real BM?
|
time to run the vin for what dealer sold it

I strongly doubt its a BM Vette. Joel always started with BB engines in his Vettes not SB. IMO it's a Vette with BM fiberglass kit/add-ons.
And AFAIK, he never built a Motion Phase III GT Corvette convertible. All 10 cars are coupes. |

----Back in the late 60's I liked certain Motion mods and wanted to do some on my 69 435hp coupe (I never did). I must have looked at the pics of thier front headlight treatment many, many times and still do. This converts front end seems to have a different treatment on the sunken headlights. They seem much deeper sunk into the fender than other real Motion cars. Maybe just a further mod, but it's certainly not Motion!....Bill S

I think he is saying he told the country its a 350 but its a BBC. Has a high redline tach.

Real Motion GT Corvette https://images2.imgbox.com/86/ee/hHHBDx9D_o.jpeg You can easily see the headlights are NOT the same. The kit may not have even come from Motion at all. Could have come from FiberFab |

Regardless of who built it, it's a pretty cool car.

At my job maintaining a collection we have a Balwin Motion Vega. Super rare. It is red and white. LT1 engine and a turbo 400 trans. It came with headers, intake, holley 4 bbl and 12 bolt rear end.Advertised to run 10s?? i doubt it really.Owned paid over 200,000 for it around 2012 from Mecom or barret Jackson.

Would be great to see come pictures of the BM Vega and learn more details on the history.
