Here's a car you don't normally see

I picked this up about a month ago. I have a broken ankle so I haven't driven it other than around the block, but I look forward to taking it to and fro to work, as well as taking it apart and making it better.

Cool!! Please tell us it has a 428 in it!! :burnout:
|
Interestingly, the 4-speed was only available with the 428 in 1968.
The GM Heritage Center has a lot of deep info, but anything that would show how many sedans built like this is MIA, among the many pages missing. All I know is 363 Catalinas had a 4-speed, and I assume most of them were hardtops and ragtops. |
Very cool car!!!

Awesome!

Dig!!

Such a cool Pontiac, love it! Posi rear, Diego, or peg leg?
|
Man that's nice....enjoy!

It's not a GTO, so PHS won't have a breakdown. The Pontiac Library and GM Heritage Center is where all the deep numbers lurk. |

AFAIK it's a peg-leg 3.42. |
Very cool, what a rare bird. Congrats on the purchase!

Nice ride! I've got an uncommon Pontiac sitting in my shop too. It's nice to have something a little different!
|
Congrats Diego! Sorry about the ankle, I feel your pain.
Also, the '62 "slant 4" is a cool bit of history all by itself. Is that the original paint? Andy |
Nice ride Diego!!
Rare and interesting just like the owner :-) See you at PSMCDR Ryan W31 |

Regarding the paint, there is ample evidence that the car has been repainted at one point in the past. There is overspray on the weatherstripping/paint chipping in the door jams. I would suspect it was repainted in the late 70s/early 80s. |
Saw that one for sale. Screaming deal. Very rare.
|
love it, Diego.
|
Very cool car, my friend. Peg leg? You describing your present situation or the diff in that Poncho? (LOL).

I heard MCACN will have a display of 61-63 Tempests.
