Barrett Jackson- West Palm

I stopped by the Barrett Jackson auction last Saturday for a few hours. For the most part original muscle cars were sparse. Plenty of old and new bronco and resto mods and exotics. Here are a few cars that were interesting. Surprisingly the Yenko sold at 157k way below estimates, but I'm not familiar with the car. The Dick Harrel camaro with very questionable pedigree sold for 110k.

Did anyone notice the amount of "previously sold" in Scottsdale cars were offered?

Hmmmmmm....

I have been tracking '69 Camaros at auction for years. 40% of the VINs in my db have been auctioned more than once. One COPO Camaro has been auctioned 8 times dating to 2004.

See the same cars over and over.

Hey, they are "investment" vehicles, intended to be sold over and over for profit...

id be pretty bummed if i was the yenko seller

Car scored gold at MCACN and was a Colonial Chevrolet car. Someone got a steal. BJ always a risk with no-reserve auctions.

Yes, someone got a tremendous deal on that Yenko. The made up Dick Harrell Camaro, not so much.

110k for a gold 307 car? Wow.

John 04-23-2023 11:05 AM

.... I prefer to sell my Yenko on my own and not hassle with the auction process ... but that's just me.

I saw folks on FB discussing the green Yenko, even the seller chimed in and said he was upset with B-J, maybe he thought they did not promote the sale enough. The buyer also chimed in, sounds like he has a few SYCs.

It would have been prudent for the owner to promote it on this site! I know he's a member. The new owner is also a member on this site!!! No reserve auctions are a gamble, and best to promote some yourself. I agree Barrett Jackson has the ability to promote , and usually does. Case in point the 68 Baldwing Motion car in Scottsdale....

From what I recall the "Harrell" car started out as a gold 307 shell.
