Sad and strange to see this one sitting out in the snow - time for the seller to pass it along to someone who can keep it in the garage.

Original engine is included, but is not the one currently installed.

Seems like a decent car, but I'm not sure it's worth the $50k opening bid - thoughts?

William may have seen this car around.
With the seriously lacking description, pictures or verification of anything he said, I bid 25k.

Wow, that car is probably worth the $50,000 assuming it does have the original motor. The tank sticker was validated a number of years ago and matches the options perfectly, the interior is leather. I'm not sure why the paperwork was left out of the add.
The chassis looks almost too nice for the car, I hope it sells and gets into good hands.

----Obviously, buyer needs more info to make a decision. Just by looking at the add, both pics and description, I would value the car a bit lower at around $42,000 to $45,000. I might change my opinion if I went over the car though! Might come up a bit if he would throw in the hardtop....Bill S

Tough to connect with the owner. I easily could have had my Dad run over and look at the car earlier this week. Now he's up here by me.

We'll see. I'm not optimistic about it. I feel the car is over priced. Have to see the engine deck of the supposed original motor, before putting any effort into the pursuit.

Good call, Tim. The paperwork looks good, but you need the original motor to make it worthwhile.

I agree. I would guess if the seller had posted up good pics of the original engine it would had sold by now. Goofy ads sometimes end up being good buys if a buyer goes and looks. But often times it is a wild goose chase.

With just the attention it has gotten on here, it seems if he posted GOOD pics of the engine to prove it's the original and just listed it at this price as a BIN, it would get sold. I can see fishing for a little more out of an auction, but if he wants it gone, it would be.

Gosh that seems like a good deal if the engine is as described.

The owner sent me a pic of the pad of the original engine and from what I could tell it looked good.

I've been looking at the pictures again, and kind of disappointed I didn't place a bid myself. I think that interior would clean up really well. Just a dirty mess as presented in the auction....
